A few basic melee lessons for the unexperienced.

Ok, actually I started this blog because I was in this site for awhile now and was using the useful info i found here. So I'd like to give the community something i can give - a little basic knowledge on melee offence. Dont be mistaken - these simple lessons are for people who are least interested in melee and has little or none experience in it, yet they have a melee weapon(particulary machete), i wont teach any parrying, defense or counterattacking here, because they are not particulary… Continue

Last One! The other side...

I never thought I would say it but he was right! Quenton was right the entire time. I thought it was the ramblings of a mad man but everything started fitting together.

My name is Brandy and I am alone. I left my husband of 7 years because I felt that his obsession with the walking dead was unhealthy for a family. He spent years preparing our home for an invasion that I thought would never happen. He spent more time on that than with me. He encouraged me to be prepared by means of… Continue

Last One! Pt. 4

By the next morning Lilly had already taken care of Eli and was smoking a cigarette and drinking coffee. Her demenor had changed over night and I wasn't sure if it was for the best or not at first. She looked crazed and distant but was more talkative than ever and energetic.

"Morning Q! I took Eli out back to the burn pit earlier this morning and made my peace."

"Did you have any problems?"

"Not at all, but I do want to ask you something. Can you teach me to destroy… Continue

Last One! Pt. 3

You know it's a bad day when you get an ear blown off and you have to put a bullet in your dad's head. How does one prepare for a day like this? You really want to know don't you? I'll tell you. You don't! Nothing can prepare you mentally or physically for the trauma that is killing one of your own. Sure, I'll admit that I've thought about killing some people in my day, but never anyone that I loved and held dear. However, all is not lost, I will let you in on how I coped.

After I shot my… Continue

Last One! Pt. 2

Things have gotten very quiet around the house lately. There should be moans, shuffling feet, screams, explosions, gunfire, or something. Is it over? Is everyone dead or at least dead-ish? I have a gut feeling that things are about to get real bad, real fast. I take to the roof to scope things out. The streets are completely empty not a person or zombie in sight. I surveyed the area for about two hours, never seeing anyone or anything. I went back inside and turned on the radio and television… Continue

Last One!

The day was like any other day. The sun came up and the wind was blowing gently through the trees. Although everything seemed normal, it was far from. The thing that caught me off guard was the person I was watching walking down the road was hit by an oncoming car. The car never even slowed down; just plowed right through the man. The man's body went airborne at the time of impact resembling a life-sized bloody rag doll flying through the air and landing violently on the pavement. The sound of… Continue

damn

I sent the first two days fortifiing the house. I did a pretty good job with the supplies I had on hand. I even set up a few traps with some grenades and flares i had. I spent a full day searching the surroundings for other people. I was rewarded by finiding a survuivor(if you could say that). His name was bill,The only bad part was that he had been shot in the stomach. He was already pretty bad off when I found him. There was little that i could do for him.He said he had been shot by… Continue

The Day the World Died...

So what was I doing on the day all of this started? Honestly, I was probably sitting in my room oblivious to what was going on in the rest of the world, playing video games or watching movies, wasting yet another day. When I first hear any news about the outbreak I was checking email and saw it on yahoo news.

The story went something like somewhere in Iraq there were reports of enemy and friendly soldiers rising from where they fell and attacking anyone close to them. At the time… Continue

Post From The Wall.

hey Everyone. I just got back from my watch over the wall we have built around probably 3/4 of the island.

I have good news ,Bad News and just news in general.

Good News:

I made contact with the local law enforcement. Reported my case. I didn't tell them where we are and hopefully the call was short enough they couldn't use GPS. They said they have had "multiple similar reports". they gave no explanation though.

Also while i was on watch some of the birds… Continue

HUH?

Yep, rhode island is deffitely weird. Ya know for such a tiny state, there a lot of people (and zombies) here. Its so crowded you have to look everywhere you turn. How ever, it can also mean that things here are easily accssible. Like weapons, cars, and food supplies (thank you Stop and Shop!). It even gives off a very desolate, small town kinda vibe, which (for me any way) can be sheer torture to the mind. Things are going well, and the house is holding up, so i guess im lucky. I guess i have… Continue

My beginning

I was at work, in the back room when it happened. I was alone, and I heard someone come though the doors to the receiving area. I thought it was a co-worker. I was wrong. Dead wrong...

It was a disheveled old woman. Blood oozed from a ragged wound in her neck, and there were chunks bitten out of her arms and legs. The stench was overpowering. She was on top of me before I knew what was going on, clawing and snapping at my throat. Shoving her off of me, I managed to get a hold of a heavy… Continue

the shoe store

i am actually a 13 year old juvenile , iwas hiding when it all happened. i was on the second floor when l saw a man hurt ,i couldn't hav been more wrong. when i went down to see wat happened he started coming towards me. i pushed over a shelf thing causing his head to smash open like a pumpkin. i dashed toward the gun store on the other side of town. im not the fastest runner so after 2 min or so i stopped to take a breather only to find out 14 more were near me. i had one chance and i took it.… Continue

My testament to the truth

I have been surviving for almost 6 months since the day our world became theirs. I have seen people mutilated and ripped apart, I have seen some of them get back up. I have lost family and friends, comrades and enemies.

And through all of this I have survived. And found out some of the truth.

I don't know how often I'll be able to update this but this will ultimately be my story, a story for you to read and hear, a story that will hopefully help you, or at least show you… Continue

Day 2.

Sorry i couldn't post to you guys last night. we got to our location but on the our way through the woods we noticed no ringing of bird songs in our ears. no chirps. No squawks. I looked to each of my teammates. Our eyes met and we connected with thought.

Each of us readied ourselves. katana in my left and gun in my right. Steps are taken more carefully now as if we are searching for traps along the ground. Every branch that snapped under our feet was another hint to whatever lurked… Continue

Illinois Outbreak?

The road home had been blocked by a severe car pile-up and we had to take the back road home. That was a big fuckin' mistake. About a mile out of town, a graveyard watches over the city of Hoopeston. It's pretty old, some tombstones dating back well over a hundred years. I read somewhere that zombies cant climb out of their graves, due to the fact that they are only as weak as humans. That's BULLSHIT. I saw a whole swarm of the Stenches marching their way into town. All i can think of is… Continue

night fall and cool weather

The fall colors will be here soon. The cold temps seems to slow some of UDH's down a little. (UN-dead human S) But other then that the time is passed traveling from one hunting camp to the next. During the fall and winter seasons. Bo found a clean hunting ground, for dear and wild boar. So the meat quality will get better. We have pork. I heard some rumors that Ca is doing so much worse then here, I can't imagine not having your own well for clean water; or the years of gun laws that have left… Continue

Walgreens a bust

So i trecked it through destroyed cars and downed power lines. I had my sea axe and my leather vest on for some protection. My long Black hooded cloak, that I got at a rennisance faire a while ago. It is the best weather protection i own, and maybe even anyone owns.

So I am fast walking to the store, and making great time. I am a fast walker. I am 6'4'' and have a fast walking gate when i need it.

I get to the store with ease. I very cautiously and slowly make my way into the the… Continue

shameless plug over......

There is storm coming thourgh today..Hanna... It's hot and sticky and I can smell the bodies now.. Also last night I was out walking my dog(armed to the teeth just in case) when I heard a dragging noise and some moaning. It was coming from the highway(which was void of traffic 'cept for the occasional army convoy and random state trooper. Anyway, There was half of a man..dragging… Continue
