Today, I started laughing uncontrollably. Some kids came to the door, zombies of course, and they started scratching.
I dug up some candy today and busted into it. Happy Halloween, eh? God dammit...
So I've been working at trying to run lights less than normal. They attract more and there's no telling how my barricades will do. No fear tonight, just...I dunno. Every Halloween, I tried to hang out with friends, watch movies and stuff? This year, nothing. Just the undead… Continue

Here I am, in one of those emergency rooms in the electric plant. Lieutenant Peterson wanted me under special care.
I heard the medical staff talk about 3rd degree burns, severed nerves, broken femur, possible infection.
I didn't care, they gave me the laptop so I'm good. Plus its been, what, 5 hours from zombie contact. If I were infected, I wouldn't be typing this.
Well since I'm not going to leave this bed for awhile, might as well send you guys a message of my lucky… Continue
Moments before the gunshot I saw him kiss the last long rifle round into the .270 Bolt action. By then I had already begun my frantic retreat to the upstairs level over the frozen escalator towards the silent slots. The report was deafening, I did not hear the sound of the Casino’s glass façade as it caved in. The ringing in my ears cleared in time for me to hear the moaning of the hungry dead as they clamored into the hotel lobby looking for the Vegas buffet. He never fired another shot; the… Continue

I watched a Beaver as he shored up his dam one morning. It was so interesting to watch something so natural especially now. He placed one stick here and one there and padded it with mud and I watched in awed silence as he did so. The dam was so exquisite, so unique.
I never saw the body as it floated down the river, never noticed its gas bloated form as it approached. It was suddenly flailing as it touched the dam and in seconds that miracle of nature was destroyed, the dam broke and… Continue

For the next few days the apartment felt a lot more like a home to Nathan than anything else had in the two months that he had lived here. Jared’s wound was healing nicely and he was able to walk around without any assistance now. For a man of 45 he sure doesn’t show it with his tall, firmly set physique, and the way that he maintains his health. Emily turned out to be quite the cook and if ever the world became normal again her culinary dreams might just come true. The three of them got along… Continue

Hunter had decided to wait for in the car to serve as lookout. Todd and I stepped cautiously out of the car looking in all directions for zombies. We slowly stepped up on the porch.
“Hunter better snap out of it soon.” Todd said with anger. “He’s dead weight.”
“Just give him some time man. You were somewhat prepared for this he wasn’t.”
“Whatever.” He sneered.
This is gonna be a problem.
The inside of my house was trashed. For the… Continue
The front glass door was smashed in and the other front door was wide open… The sound of car alarm went off in the distance as I could smell the smoke of what seemed like a gas fire a few streets away. I noticed my families van in the driveway but not my Dad’s car. This thought concerned me, where they were and what really happened… I slowly walked to the front door and opened the screen slowly. I started to enter slowly when I saw my dog Two face run over to me and glance at me with a huge… Continue

It was November, and it was cold. i was locking up the garden center gate and looking for a any wandering customers. the place was clear. I was about to head back to the stock room when i saw a large group up police cars pull up to the apartment complex across the street. its not to strange to see a few cop cars driving around. I mean Portland Oregon is a large city, but this was still a lot of cop cars. i heard them shouting on the intercom. had they been a bit closer i could have heard them… Continue
The winner of the September Video Contest is "A Day in the Life" by Okota.
We saw some excellent submissions for the September contest. Specifically I'd like to acknowledge the submissions from Zombie Hunter, Ohaio Wasabi, Kevin Reese and Storyteller07. We were really impressed with everything we saw. We choose Okota's submission because we felt it most embodied the spirit and guidelines… Continue
So as long as the internet and satellites don't go down I'll blog around when I'm able. So I made it home but the house is empty and my family is gone. My son, wife and hell even the dog and cat. I'm not sure whats going on here. I've turned on the tv but all I'm getting is static, nothing on every single channel. I went upstairs to have a look and it's empty, it seems as some one was here and gone in a hurry. I unlock my closet and open my gun safe, I pull my riffle and .357 magnum and what… Continue

So though Im new to the site I thought the little short background was in deed too short. I've always pondered the whole zombie epidemic and if it were to ever happen what would I do. Well now that it's a full blown pandemonium I wonder when it will end. As I sit to write the first blog with many to come I think to the past. Im 28 and have always been a fan of horror, slashers, thrillers and sci-fi. Also love the out doors, getting to go out and hunt and fish is a plus. I got to spend lots of… Continue

I was on my way home when it all started… I was driving back from the deep woods or Northwestern, CT; from a summer job at a camp. Where I was located was 5 miles away from any paved or public road. We had no internet, 1 phone and the only information we heard was from parents that dropped of there kids at our camp. We had no idea how bad it really was in the public world; I heard about the bird and later swine flu and treated it more of as a joke. I mean why would or should some freak out… Continue
The voice startled me out of the daze I was in as we drove. It sounded so mature, except you could detect that a child said it. “Yes, they are, Reggie.” It was the first time I had heard his voice, and I could understand then why Doug had said that he was so lively. There's no getting one over on this kid, I thought. Then the car sputtered and died.
“We're going to have to walk. It won't be far.” We only had about two miles to go to the base.… Continue
I thought it could never happen. Not just to me, or to people I know, but that it could happen full stop.
Zombies? Come on! It's like a tacky TV film isn't it?
It's what I thought before I nearly got caught by one. The TV said it was some kind of flu, some kind of super flu. What happened with Bird Flu? Nothing that's what. So I ignored the advice and went to the corner shop, Mr Singh was there as usual excpet his throat had been torn out and I couold see the ice cold Coke… Continue
Nicole and I had finally gotten some rest on "decent" beds: inflatable pool floaters covered with bed sheets. Night had just fallen, and everyone seemed preoccupied with their own way of passing time: two of the soldiers played cards, three others looked like they were passing around a joint, and Sarah was in the corner, fidgeting with a radio.
Charlie:"Well well well, if it isn't sleeping ugly."
Ben: "Good morning, sunshine. You hungry?"
Peter: "Yeah,… Continue

I am a big fan of the Zombie Survival Sheet, after filling one out I felt more could have been added so I decided to create a newer version of the Zombie Survival Sheet from scratch.
New Features-
•A new layout of course
•An ammo bag
•Male or Female check box
•Head and Feet clothing or gear box
•Sidekick's Weapon
This is the version I based it off of and do not know who created it.… Continue
The walk back to his house had been a tad easier by the strike of pure dumb luck. Thomas had been probing through a Quicktrip, barely 8 miles from his house, when he spied the Truck sitting next to the fuel box.
He was now rumbling down the highway, the covered truck bed chock full of fuel cans, food, and enough soda to drown a chubby high school kid. Within 10 minutes he was at his house, seemingly untouched by the chaos that boiled all around him. The eery quiet that hung… Continue
