No More Fear: Part One

Hello and thank you for reading. This first paragraph is an introduction and is not part of this story. I am adding this introduction to explain a few things about myself as a writer and this story. I'll start with myself. I've been dabbling with writing for about six years now, not taking it really seriously, just doing it as a way to convey the things I find fascinating in my imagination to people around me, mostly just friends. I have started somewhere around five different stories, but I… Continue

Clover's Utopia Chapter 2

The car began to move forward and Allie looked at Clover. “Buckle your seatbelt,” she insisted, seconds before sharply jolting the car into a U-turn on the narrow street. Clover hastily complied right as the car’s front wheel bounced over the curb at the side of the road. Up ahead Clover noticed something, her dad’s old friend was wandering about in nothing but a house coat and boxers.

“That’s my neighbour!” yelled Clover, “Let’s see…

ttens 25: OPERATION EXODUS PART 3

‘What are you talking about? Do you see this?’ raved Logan pointing at his I.D. card. ’It says clearance level four! That is the highest level! This is my research facility! And you with your shaved head and stupid green beret are going to tell me I’m not allowed to go where I want in my own building?’

The soldier stood stock still, calmly looking ahead. ’Orders from the top sir, no-one with less than level four clearance allowed past this point sir.’

‘Are you even listening to me you… Continue

10/22/09- Sacrifice

I have been camped just outside a small town in North Carolina. The group wanted to go in guns blazing and just burn the place to the ground. After much discussion ( more arguments then reasoning), I listened to our little entourage until I was ready to puke, in one swift motion, I brought my fist down on the makeshift table by the campfire. I had enough.

"I think pulling that Rambo crap is gotta go. Haven't we lost enough. There were twenty three of us only a week ago and now we are down… Continue

Unexpected Occurence pt1

Sorry for the long wait. Me and my friends have just been driving with the military. They had a military laptop I could use.

Its been, what, a week so this'll be one of the longest postings I'll put up. Stay awake if you can. If not, I'll summarize everything in the second to last paragraph in Part 5. I'll get started.

The day after my last blog, it started raining. It was rather strange, rain in a place that was on the verge of drought.

My dog helped me wake up by licking… Continue

Eastward Ho,Zombies oh No. (prt2)

"Oh joy, a herd.

October:

It seems like it happened days ago, yet it was only yesterday that they came in masses and stormed the outter city of Tulsa. I was only playing Wii when they came, shambling in direct motions, hunting down their prey with an unnerving sense of patience. I Travel east to home, to see if Jamie is alive and the rest of the family."

Thomas layed back against a car, scribbling in his journal with a granola bar half in his mouth. The walk to… Continue

Hometown Hell part 1

"Uuuuhhhng" I yawned stretching my arms and back. I looked around stupidly before remembering I had stayed with a friend last night. My friends name was Hunter we had been friends since the third grade. We were two of the bigger kids in our freshmen class. He was about 5'8 and I was about an inch taller. It was 5:30 a.m. and his parents were just getting up to wake me, Hunter and his brother Ray up to get ready for school.

Damn accursed Mondays.

"Wake up boys!"… Continue

Sweet, Shocking Irony

There i was, like any other day, just out job hunting... least, that was the plan anyway. I had just gotten finished job hunting that morning, stopping off with anything that was sporting a ''for hire'' sign. After that, around 2pm, i met up with my Melee group and battled out with them for awhile. It was crazy all that morning. After we had beat the living shit out of each other, we were sitting down to taco bell in the park we were allowed to sport in, me sharpening my brand new Bearded… Continue

When All Hell Broke Loose

No one knows how it happened. Just one day the sky fell and the whole world turned upside-down. The so-called experts had been crying wolf for so long no one really took them serious anymore; at least until it was too late. People went crazy. Friends turned on friends, and brothers on brothers. It was even rumored some religious nut-job on the east coast claimed it was divine punishment from god, and so he somehow sabotaged a nuclear plant and caused its meltdown. Now I don’t know if it’s true,… Continue

The Rise of Silent Earth: A Moment of Calm (Pt 4)

Fifteen minutes of climbing the 6 stories of stairs was rather tiring to everyone. Finally up at the apartment, Jared winching with quite a bit of pain, they are able to situate him in one of the 2 beds in the apartment. Once they get Jared set up and as comfortable as possible, Nathan goes and gets the medical supplies that he will need to use to patch up Jared. Cleaning cloths, Neosporin, gauss pads and wrap, some stitching, and even some antibiotics that Jared should take for the next few… Continue

My beginning....

The sun blazed with much heat as a small breeze cooled its trails. The light blue sky was empty of clouds. The date was June 14; a birthday. No doubt it was HER birthday. She just turned eighteen. This newly adult was known as quite weird. She barely had friends, and the ones she had were all male. Her conversations were not of shopping, shoes, makeup, or anything else known as girly; but about guns, blades, cars, video games, and everything else a guy’s would. A full blown out tomboy, she was.… Continue

The Journal of Gregory Lions (Part 4)

Hello again, my evenly spaced friend. Another week has gone by, and yet I strain to remember the fine details of it. But in an attempt to stall your boredom, I will tell you of my most recent venture for supplies.

Yesterday I found myself blocked from a large section of subdivisions by a bridge practically overflowing with cheap plywood barricades and at least a handful of survivors hidden inside. My recent exploits have somewhat desensitized me to murder, but I refuse to kill a man… Continue

Last Steps

It was odd really, how the bites didn’t hurt so much any more as burned. It felt as though napalm was shooting in slow agonizing cycles from each wound and into her veins, and she supposed as she leaned heavily against the wall of the emergency stairs that it might as well be.

She just needed to rest a moment, that’s all she though as she slowly sank to the cool forgiving concrete floor. She cradled her arm on her lap and watches as her blood sluggishly excreted from the wound on her… Continue

The Journal of Gregory Lions (Part 3)

The Journal of Gregory Lions

Entry number 3, fellas. I'm just as amazed as you that I'm still here, writing these things. And hopefully you'll gain some faith in my abilities after this entry in particular.

For the first time in my life, I killed a man. Well, that's a bit of a misnomer, allow me to be more clear. I murdered 2 people today. And here is the story...

I woke up this morning, not of my own volition. There was a hammering at the door to the office,… Continue

Too Close, Too Far The Final Part

Penny and I share a long kiss. We both know it could be our last. She slinks back into the trailer looking like a ninjas centrefold, and I hop through the roof into the tractor. I stare down the hill to the gate, where uncountable dead eyes stare back. Taking a deep breath I yell to Penny to hold on, and put my foot down. I don’t get the wheel spin I was hoping for, but we start moving. Going down hill now, picking up speed. The zombies stand firm. They don’t know what’s about to hit them. I… Continue
