Journal entry: Jordan Yates
Before the zombie plague, i was normal, walking among the others. Despite my physical abilities and mental prowess, i was the same as them, no greater, no less. While i could race over city blocks due to my years of parkour, i was no better. while i could topple veritable giants and fell hordes of enemies that never came, i was no better than the masses. And even my intellect in all its vastness had little bearings on my status among them.…Continue

Journal entry: Witness Drake Walton
I am a zombie. I breath, i eat my meals cooked, i think and yet i am dead. a cold corpse from head to toe. I feel nothing.
Once, when the first outbreak near my home happened, i killed two zombies. i was only fourteen at the time. Then i felt, then i knew fear, pain, sorrow, confusion and love. i had loved my mother; her soft brown curls and blue eyes she'd passed to me. i loved her when she was angry, when she was drunk, i loved…Continue

What medieval weapon do you think is the best for getting farther into the zed apocalypse? A claymore? A mace/morning star? Warhammer? Spear?
Personally I would use a Burda club, a nice hunk if ashwood with iron bands on it. ( might as well melt faces ) Thoughts?…Continue

Finally, a place to keep my thoughts about this whole mess and possibly some new people to talk to....
Before I get to the present though let me start at the beginning.... About a month before word of zombies got out I had given birth to a beautiful baby boy. My son and my husband are my reason to survive. That is the MOST important thing anyone needs to know about me. Luckily I…Continue

Today's topic: scavenging. Interesting? No. Fun? No. Necessary in order to survive? Hell yes. Sometimes I feel like all I ever do is scavenge. More ammo. Clean water. My next meal. A new shirt. Incidentally, I did find that. A new shirt that is. It's a red flannel thing about two sizes too big and I like it. I'm still looking for the other stuff though.
Kira helps. Sort of. Sometimes she will just disappear for a few hours. Sometimes longer than that. Sometimes she even stays…Continue

The ramshackle gallows stood in the middle of the boonies we managed to find ourselves in. The thing dangling there immediately started twitching and letting out dry grunts and snarls as I came into its view. The ghoul was more skeleton than anything, but what patches of meat remained was badly burnt from the sun. It must have been there since the start, even might have turned on that rope.
We put the poor sod out of his misery after the rope broke in a puff of dust and he crumpled…Continue

You're trapped in a second story room with a window that doesn't open. There are zeds on the brink of taking the door off of the hinges ( maybe a good fifteen minutes give or take ) and the only other person in the room is a panicking 14 year old whom is on the brink of mental collapse. There is nothing in the room but a closet with a flimsy particle board door, and a vent that one of you could get into using a desk fixed to the floor.
What would you do LZ?

after the virus swept through there were only pockets of survivors left to scavenge in and empty world, most survivors were miserable and depressed, knowing society cant go back to what it was.The other survivors were surprisingly happy about it all...how are they so happy you might ask?
those select few who remain happy have found joy in life and were well prepared even before the virus showed up.
If someone can find joy in life even during the worst of times, they…Continue

I just smoked my last doob. Sucks. I can see them at my window. Peering in, moaning moaning moaning until it becomes a song in your head "deaad deeaad you deaaadd" right to the top 10, Dick! BINGO! one has a pink dress on, her bloodied blond hair is missing on one side. you'd think that'd killed her. the other one's got blue lips, literally blue, from ice cream or birthday cake. there's about 20 now. there were 30. damnit. not winning any mother of the year awards this year am I? Tweedle Dee wasn't so Dum when he left the other Tweedle behind
There was an old woman who holed up in a zoo
She had so many zombies, she didn't know what to do
She gave them all whippin's and they lost their heads
And kicked their asses soundly as she laid them to dead
Peter Peter fleshy eater
Had a wife but couldn't keep her
He put her in a coffin shell
And there he kept her very well

I can smell you - you oozing, rotting, filthy thing.
I hear your breathless sighs in the night.
I know what you are.
And I will hunt you down, destroy you.
I can smell you, smell your fear
as I claw at your door, anticipating the soft snap of your flesh between my teeth

I would literally kill you for a decent cup of coffee. And don't get me started on bacon. I miss breakfast food.
Humans are terrible creatures. We take and take and take and only expect more. We are greedy. We destroy. We killed off entire species just because we could. Did we honestly think it could go on like that forever? Did we really think that our parasitic ways wouldn't have consequences? Humans are the worst thing to ever walk the earth. This is our punishment. We deserve it. We deserve this. It's a taste of our own bitter medicine. Maybe if we hadn't…Continue
