As I slept, I dreamt I was alone. The world around me was dark and empty and flat. I yelled for my brother, but there was no reply, just my own voice echoing back to me over the vast emptiness. I heard a hiss behind me and spun around as quickly as I could, but my body was slow, as if I was swimming in Jello. When I finally finished turning, there was nothing visible in the ring of light that shown a hundred feet in all directions around me. The hiss again came from behind me, where I had…

*****Lost? Check out my other blog posts and catch up on the story!*****
I watched Gomez struggle to stand up and then begin his long task of disposing of the remaining beer. And there was a lot of it. Several pallets stacked at least five feet high. I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. He’d hardly spoken since he’d gotten here. He probably hadn’t even been a soldier for a month before being thrown into this mess. I’m sure he was many hundreds of miles from home and probably…

*****Hopefully two parts in one week makes up a little for the long waits! Please share your comments. Enjoy!*****
I dreamt I was a child again, running though a sprinkler on my parents’ luscious green lawn. My father must have spent dozens of hours a week out there, making sure not a blade of grass was out of place or a weed was in sight. I could feel the cool water gently splashing my face as my laughing brother ran directly through the…

***Once again, sorry for the long wait! Enjoy.***Five minutes later, the two soldiers appeared in the doorway to the store. We original four had stuck around near the door to wait for them, eager for any news from the outside world. We all looked up expectantly at our new guests when they caught up to us.
Mark jerked his head toward the stairs, “Let’s head to the roof. I’m sure you boys could use a breather.”
Gomez stared blankly.…

Me, Alex, Chris, and Scarlett were away from our fort. We were scouting for fuel. We knew all gas stations were dried up, this was pointless. Or at least that's what we all thought. We found this gas station about 5 miles north from base. It had scattered vehicles, undead and human dead bodies with blood all around the pumps. Alex points out that the windows have been taken out, not broken out, of the store. "There could be survivors!" She starts walking towards the door, and then Chris stops…

After ten or fifteen minutes, Mark had played through several songs, some I knew and some I’d never heard. I was really grateful that he could play that guitar. It gave my ears a rest from the unceasing moaning all around us. I began to doze, drifting in and out of sleep. Fractured dreams flashed through my mind’s eye only to be forgotten a few seconds after I woke. The third or fourth time I was jolted from my sleep, I wasn’t sure if the sound I’d heard was part of a dream or something my…

We filed down the stairs behind Mark. After listening at the door for a few moments and hearing nothing, he pushed the cabinet out of the way. Zach stood in front of the door ready to blast anything on the other side as Mark swung it open. It was all clear on the other side of the door, and we silently, cautiously, moved into the store, fanning out and doing a quick sweep. We checked all the doors and found them all to be secure, and no one found any infected in the store.
“Everyone got a…

We finally reached the blacktop again. Zach pulled over and dumped the five gallons of gas he brought into the Jeep’s tank and we moved on. We didn’t get far when Zach spotted a white car on the shoulder of the road, facing the mountain at our backs. The light bar on the roof was visible long before we were able to read the words “State Trooper” written in gold along the side. I grimaced as we stopped next to it. I could see before I got out that one of the rear passenger windows was shattered.…

Attention all Freedom Fighters!
Enough is enough with the page customization and the pointless babbiling about movies. This is NOT a movie, this is real life. It is time that we stop being individuals and join together and fight this infection head on. Zombies don't use the internet, they use your skulls for a sippy cups. Its true, i've seen it happen. We must end this war before it claims any more lives. I am calling for all willing fighters to help our cause and help us decide upon…

*Recording*
The closer I get to Kingman the tighter the knot in my stomach gets. Very apprehensive about leaving Oatman even though the military presence there made me a bit uneasy.
I should be getting into the city limits here in about 10 minutes. There's a car on the road ahead and it looks as though it's stalled out. There's someone at the wheel. I can see....oh.... Jesus. They're dead! I can't help them. I can guess that there must be a zombie around here somewhere.
GOD DAMN…
