Way to old for this stuff

Yeah, way too old, and too smart and too well educated and too experienced , and all the other "toos" that always tell you you don't have to do the things you know a perverse fucking universe has decided to demand of you if you want to avoid extinction. I figured I had fought my war and got my job and bought my house and married my wife, and the most I was going to have to worry about was  the constant upward creep of gas prices. Even have a great little garden, and a cat. Yeah, I have a…

Surviving 4

I'm not sure what day it is. It may be just after Thanksgiving. New York City is gone. I've holed up in a small cabin just above the tree line. It used to be a nice area. Pine trees all about. I found it by accident. It was clean and empty. I've camouflaged my vehicle and am going to stay here a while. There are a few small towns nearby. I passed on a road, a logging track really. I've been here for 2… Continue

Zombie Emergency Room

First, a little background: this was a script I wrote for our department's contribution to the Halloween festivities at work. (Halloween is by far and away the biggest event of the year - far surpassing Christmas. All the departments decorate, create skits, etc.) With some minor tweaks and a whole lot of improvisation, we performed this about 10 times throughout the day. Needless to say, it was a blast. I played the role of the reanimated zombie. It fits in very nicely with the Lost Zombies… Continue

Blog Entry 3

I've decided. My mom needs her medicine now; she's getting sicker with every breath she draws. My friend's brother knows the man who owns a pharmacy here locally, and it just so happens that he is still alive, holding out in his store. Well. . .that's what we're hoping.

I guess it's time to introduce my friends. Their names are Julian Henderson, Phillip Holmes, and David Allen. They all have their own stories in this outbreak, and I'm actively encouraging them to share them with the… Continue
