Ok, so lets say you are in a house, in the suburbs, with plenty of supplies. Suddenly,  the city is quarentined off, and you are trapped. The zombies are coming. What is, in your opinion, the best short range weapon? Short range being arm distance away, so no swords or guns.

My favorite short range weapon is the WWII trench knife. It is a combo of a 7 inch knife and brass knuckles. The knife was designed to go through an inch thick steel helmet and the human skull, so penatration and durability is no question.
