Short Story

Death and endless screaming were all that floated in her mind, everything else didn't seem to exsist.

 No matter how much she wanted to get up, all she could do was sit there lost in her head with unknowing tears streaming down her dirt stained cheecks.

 Everytime she would open her eyes, they would quickly shut at the sight of the endless bodies and frightend faces.

   After 3 hours of sitting in the blood soaked dirt, she slowly got up, trying to make the world around her stop spinning.

Aimlesly walking nowhere with a blank stare on her face, her eyes as dead as the world around her, her mind filled with thoughts as endless as the depths of the sea.

  The blank stare on her face was quickly brought to life when something stopped her from going any futher.

 The dark bloodshot eyes were fixed on a small child who was lost in the madness. Her neck twisted sideways as if possesed by a wicked spirit. Without saying a word, she walked up to the frightend child and gave him a hug to calm his tears. She pushed his hair back like a loving mother and kissed his forehead.

 "Shhh...dnon't worry, I'll take care of you." The little boys tears stoped and a small smile filled his face. Her stare remained the same. She looked him up and down once more, she went in to hug him again and bit into his neck pulling out the jugular vein and devouring him.

 With no remorse for what she had just done, fresh blood dripping down the sides of her mouth, the little boy laying in the middle of the street his stomach ripped open.

  She headed back in the direction she was going, her stomach full and her craving strong she went to seek out more of the endless food supply.
