If no alternative is possible and only melee weapons are around you what would be your best object?

Im not kidding guys, all of them are at hand on my room. mi knife under my bed, my bat behind my tv and the nunchaku hanging behind my door. And of course I know how to make good use of them...
It someone breaks into my house , i hope they can run fast or hide well...

If I was realistic and I'd to pick something from my house(I don't have any real weapons), I'd say a hammer or the biggest kitchen knife I can find !

First I was going to take a sledgehammer ,but that is too heavy

if you want a real weapon and not an improvised one, then this^ is probably the best and most practical choice you can make aside from a machete.

depends on whether the weapons are improvised or actual martial tools. if it's an improvised weapon, anything heavy and big is good for one or two encounters (knock them down and drop it on their skull), but if you need to move then you need something small, light, and probably sharp.

if you cant find any weapons. just kick his knees.
