Using my satellite dish to get this out as we are in a communications blackout here in Camp Fallujah, Iraq. Overheard some of the grunts at the chow hall talking about a nasty firefight they had gotten into. Evidently they were on a patrol and came through what looked to be a deserted farm. They went in to do a search for a possible weapons cache. From what I overheard one of their guys was bitten on the arm as he was moving some debris. At that point a bunch of Iraqis had come out of another room. The marines ordered them to stand down but they kept coming. The corporal said something about them looking like they were on some kind of drug. Either way they kept coming so the marines opened fire. One of the marines said that a man kept walking even though his guts were strewn everywhere. At this point of the conversation a marine captain came up and ushered them out of the chow hall and he seemed upset that they were talking about it. Either way I will keep this journal going as I am to check this out further and see what I can dig up.
