So as most of you know, we're working on a movie. We're still in pre-production phases, working on storyboards and scripts. This is the first time Ive ever done anything like this, but my partner has messed around a little before. We're confident we can make something quality, we have some solid ideas and really creative input. I should probably quit playing with this site so damn much so we can get to shooting already, but we're also waiting for the second camera. This first one has shit for picture quality, some DX 305V digital camcorder a buddy hustled off a crankster. It should still be useful for a second angle on well lit sets, especially in closer shots and outdoors. We also talked about how we could use the crappier resolution to our advantage, like to obscure details or for certain cinematic effects, like working with silhouettes or a really gloomy shot. We're still on the fence about the camera man issue. Is he there, or not? If so, why did'nt the zombies get him? I guess it all matters if the film (or scene) is first person or not, but since we're going for survival horror, I'm pretty sure it's gonna hav to be first person. Diary of the dead kinda sucked, but they did a decent job at involving the camera, and I think we want something kind of like that, but not as sucky. I'm still toying with how to get a camera set up in a way that suspends the disbelief about the cameraman, like some device I McGuyver together fo remotely "studying" the zeds from a safe distance. Camera on a pole maybe. That or put the cameraman in a shark cage and have em all rattling around it. Can't share too much i guess, don't want anyone stealing my idea, or spoiling my movie.
