Where to start...? The night held all sorts of new information. I was able to get in touch with quite a few of my friends throughout the night. Most of them are bunkered down at Mike Greene’s house (his dad is a fanatical ex-cop/martial artist, cant think of a better place to be.). The rest are unaccounted for as of yet but I still have hope. The infection has been contained in most of the more densely populated areas, although im not so sure that the “quarantine” is the best thing for the residents of those areas. People living in densely populated areas have been advised to bunker down and to conserve food and water, they are in for a bumpy ride. On the other hand, things at my house seem to be going a bit better, we are in the countryside after all. Even in the event of an all out holocaust it would take the horde of mindless dead at least a day or two to travel all the way out here. Knowing this, Brandon and I began our planning session last night. We drove all of our cars out to an obscure gas station at the edge of town and filled up all the tanks and canisters we could. We then made up survival packs for each member of our crew (food, water, flashlights, radios, and a few weapons of choice for each individual). We positioned our cars outside of the back of my house near the second story porch (this is where my fire evacuation ladder that has been sitting under my bathroom sink for years finally comes in handy...ironic). We decided that if the house had to be abandoned one person would lure the horde to the frond door while the others got the cars ready out back. The last person out would grab the ladder once down next to the cars and bring it along for safe keeping. With our escape route planned we began calculating the numbers and odds of survival in a bunker down situation. We figured that we could horde enough water for about 2 months and enough food for about the same amount of time, maybe a bit less. The only time we came to a snag in our plans was when we tried to think of a fallback hideout. We could go further out into the country, it would be more secluded so there would be less of a zombie threat, but supplies would be harder to come by....we decided to think on that one a bit more. Until otherwise decided upon a strict survival training regiment and food and water rationing has begun. Now we wait...
