a tale of survival part 1

So I found myself up in Virgina City Nevada, a little one light tourist trap up in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. It's kind of hard to explain how I ended up there, the concushion I took really made me lose my sinces.
Some Rambo wannabe got up on a Humvee, some national guardsman left, then began firing the Mark 19 grenade launcher wildly. Guess I'm lucky, I heard he killed about ten people fleeing Reno before some one capped him.

Any way, my first clear memory was sitting up in the local school house. It was now serving as a makeshift refugee center. There wasn't a lot of people there, that made it even more errie. From what people where saying, the Military had declared martial law, and Navy planes out of the Fallon Top Gun school had bombed the Hell out of Reno to keep the dead from spreading.

I thought "Well isn't that just some smart ass $#%*, now we ain't got anywhere to prepair to try and take back northeren California."

There was the cute little cop who was in my group. She had saved my head when Rambo began his rampage.
I found her name was Nancy Lewis. She came up to check on me. Then I found out all the news and gossip. Also she told me about the plans to fortify Virgina City. The main through way had been baricaded while I was out, and the National Guard had been able to bring up the bulk of their supplies before they were almost wiped off the earth.

Then in came some kid, couldn't been more than sixteen, he was yelling about how the local Marshal was looking for people to form a guard incase the dead started coming up the mountain road. Me and Nancy went up to the Marshal's station.

The Marshal had already handed out the M16'S left by the Guardsman. All there was left was some pieces from the small local gun shop. {God bless America no matter where ever you go you can find one}
