one till midnight: welcome to death.....

austin kakie found himself standing on the same street....empty street....where he was one year ago...the one where all hell broke....the same town....now dead.....not just a little dead....but so dead it would have to be buried twice...everything was gone....except him and them....the flesh eaters...ghouls....zombies....the living stiffs....he smiled as he thought of this new term for them....living stiffs....should tell his brother about that one....if his brother was still alive....he had come here with others to stop the dead before they made their way out of town..."so much for that" he said to himself....he looked down at his watch...the moonlight beaming down on his arm....one till midnight it read....he could hear the moans coming from around the corner of the old shoe shop....coming from the ma and pa store....and from behind him..."i guess this is it..." austin let out a deep sigh...closed his eyes for a second and thought about his life....he knew he was going to die....his eyes open as he drew out his two pistols and fired away at the flesh tard that was standing less than a foot away..."welcome to death..."
