I had manedged to get out to the town in one piece i saw some other people on my way out but they wernt as fortunant as me. I spent several days on the road trying to get some where safe but they were every where. I still listend to the radio to see if ther was any useful information but there was nothing but static till one day i heard a trainsmision it was fema or the red cross i dont remember witch but they said they wher evacking people to a safe location it wasnt to far so i decided to go check it out. when i got there there wher dozens of them all piled up on the fences trying to get in at first i couldnt see if ther was any one on the other side of the fences then i herd a loud noise and saw some guy with an bull horn trying to tell me to hurry and go to the side entrence so i went on over and they let me in. as soon as i got in they told me to hurry up and get on the evack chopter i ask whats the rush they said that there where about to beach the fences so i got out the truck grabed my bag and ran to the chopter i hopped in and we took off as soon as we wher in the air i saw the fence fall down and watched them flood in there the guy next to me said that there was still 15 people down ther and from the look of the place there was no where for them to go i tryed not to think about it. about two hours later i noticed that there was some one ingured i asked him what was wrong with him he didnt replie he just sat ther with his eyes closed the guy next to me said just leave him alone hes probly just sleeping about that time the man got up turned torwards the pilot and atacked him the women next to him started to scream hes infected then the chopter started to spin out of control plummeting to the ground every one was screaming i yelled HANG ON TO SOME THING as i saw the ground get closer and closer. I dont remember any thing after that just waking up on the ground next to what was left of the chopter fealing like i just had the shit kicked out of me im not sure how long i was out or where i was even at but i didnt care i was just shocked that i even survived the crash but the others where'nt as lucky tho. I leaned up next to a tree trying to stand up but as soon as was on my feet i took two steps and almost fell right back on the ground i walked over to the wreck to see if there was anyone else alive but there where'nt so i scavenged what suplies i could from the wreck and started walking hoping not to run into any of thos things out here today was bad enough as is.

I've been in literal hell. I made it back to the safety (?) of my home and will post soon. My home is as I left it. Getting into the compound I encountered zombies that seemed to have had a plan? Are they mutating? Are they actually thinking now? God help us if that's the case! The only safety factor is the daylight how long will they stay out of the light? Will it be a 24 hour battle soon?

Day 10 I sit listlessly (it is now getting dawn) and am waiting for the screaming and pounding on the iron fence that surrounds my home. I have my pit bull Lily sitting at my side staring at me in with a tilted head and the look of wonder in her eyes. She is my companion. It has been 10 days since I've had any communication from any of my kids and family!

Day 1 Breaking news! "The flu has reached epedemic proportions! There is no known cure and scientists are working around the clock."

No need to go into detail with me! Two months before the outbreak announcement I hired a contracting firm to dig a moat and utilized rebar in 3 feet of cement. I set up an electrified iron fence that was handled by a high powered generator (in case the electricity went out) and stocked up on fuel. I have stocked up on water, pet food, people food and plenty of ammo for my assault rifle and my 38 special. My windows and doors have been reinforced with steel drop downs. Oh, let's not forget the roof (also reinforced) thanks to my fascination with "I Am Legend". I have swords a plenty in case I feel like going out and physically encountering one of these bastards! I have contacted all of my children and had given them areas to be picked up at the very first day of news on the outbreak. I'm all set? I have not had any contact from my children nor my family! I am really worried. All communication has broken down in my area. What to do?

Towards early morning I jumped in my truck (also loaded with extra fuel and pump) along with my Lily and headed out of Bloomfield. The streets are littered with bodies rotting everywhere. There are a few of the undead wandering listlessly in circles. I am not sure why early morning and the day causes this reaction? Does anyone out there know? I have five to six hours to make it to two of the contact points. The undead seem to get pretty aggressive just after dawn. During the day they tend to wander alone but, it is totally different at night when they attack in large groups. What's one woman and a dog against them? Don't know haven't had to find out yet.

I come across the first contact point an hour and a half later. The building seems to be abandoned and everything is quiet. I see no dead bodies nor anything around the building. Yet, my Lily has a low, deep throated growl as she walks by my side. I have my sword and my assault rifle and am proficient with the use of both weapons. As I approach the building the door suddenly swings open! I take two steps back and brace with sword in hand. "It" rushes out me with crazed eyes and gnashing teeth! I swing my sword and slice one hand completely off (thank god for rotting flesh) then I back swing with a hard stance to the right and it's neck is caught in the one swoop. The head falls to my feet and my Lily is hitting the still standing body in midair. Good job and well done! I have gained some courage by this action for sure.
