My Aunt has a very rocky beach at the end of her street. Once in a while I like to walk from my house to the beach, which is about a quarter mile walk. Four days ago, i was bored after school, and decided to take a nice stroll along the beach. Once i arrived, i noticed an odd stench, and not the typical dead fish smell. It was more of a sulfer and rotten egg smell. I, however, took it as nothing more than nature, and continued far down the beach. This part of the beach is scarcely traveled to partly because its hard to get to, and secondly because there is nothing there. But as i arrived, a distinct moan caught my attention. About 20 feet in front of me was a slow, bi pedal walking creature. It slowly crept upon the rocks. occasionally tripping, but never falling. I was terrified! Thankfully, due to other accounts on this website, i knew that this creature needed to be delt with, for it was a walking dead, a reanimated human corpse, a zombie. As it approached, i knew that i had to think quickly to dispach the creature, for fear that I, or others in Warwick, would become such a beast. Looking at my surroundings, I thought, 'what better weapon than a rock'. Quickly, i picked up a rock. But not quickly enough. Unfortunatley, in my haste to kill the zombie, i did not keep an eye on it. With surprising strength it quickly threw me onto the ground, and leaped atop me. Blood poured onto my face as it barked out grunts of distress. I pushed the zombie off of me, and slammed the rock into its head. The grunts stopped, as did the gruesome failing. Sea gulls quickly engulfed the body, picking at its twice dead flesh. I washed my face off in the sea water, and with great hesitation, dragged the body into the ocean, and watched as it floated into the cold dark atlantic. I walked home, with head held high, for knowing that I had WON my first, and hopefully last, zombie encounter.

I unfortunately did not have my phone or a camera to take pictures, but i do have a nice reminder of the encounter: when I was tackled on the ground, i landed with such force that i got a hematoma.
