I managed to capture a few zombies to study on. I suppose I shouldnt say capture, it was dumb luck really. Myself and a few others were re taking a nearby armory when we came upon a zombie standing in a large freezer room. We shut the door on him, trapping him in. After a while of observation I noticed that the cold drastically slows them. Makes sense I suppose, they lack the means to produce body heat. The zombie eventually died, cant wait for winter to come now. The other capture was a zombie that was mangled beyond the point of movement, so we transported it to a large oven to see what different levels of heat would do. It is my observation that in a desert like climate the gasses in the body will expand, eventually poping the stomach area, giving easy access to the spinal cord. A far easier spot to shoot than the head, especially when they are moving about. Spread the word, conserve your ammo.

I would have expected cold weather to do that to them. The other bit is mildly surprising.

What you haven't discussed, though, is the effect of humid heat (as opposed to a desert's dry heat) on them. That, I think, would speed up decay. This, of course, is useful if so.

Having said all this, I'm still heading north to the coldest climate I can reach on Zday.
