When I left the bunker, I got into my van, now decorated with Dents, scratches, Zombie innerds and a few bullet holes...the bastards.....I drove to the Renessance store, got my leather gear... I now have hard leather chaps, a hard leather vest, and sleeve protectors I made from another pair of chaps. They had a pretty cool looking helm there as well, and thought about taking it at first, but when I tried it on, the face guard limited my sight so I left it. Got back into my van, and drove to Wal mart. figured they'd be the best bet for supplies. I suppose I should have been more surpised then I was when I pulled into the parking lot and found several zeds there. Still, I needed the supplies. I hit two with my van, an elderly woman with her throat missing, and a teenager who had been carrying his arm in his other hand. Backed my van up as close as possible to the doors. They were shut, but they were glass. There were two more staggering towards me, and now I could see movement inside the store, but wiether it was someone alive or not I couldn't guess. I decided it might be best to abandon the idea of walmart. The only way in was to break the glass doors, and then I'd be vulnrable to an attack from both outside and in. I ran to the van but it wouldn't work now. I guess I hit one too many with it. Grabbing my weapons I got out, faced off the other two. Not waiting for either of them to come within range, I grabbed my bat and ran at them. Swung at one, got in a good solid hit....too solid. His face stuck to the bat.

Second one reached me by this point, Grabbed me, and tried to bite through my shoulder. I got lucky, the armor held. I managed to pull the bat out by pushing off the zed's chest with my foot. Once it was free, I used it to hit the other zed with. This time I went for the throat, and was able to sever the spine from the brain. The first zed had staggered back towards me again, I didn't have time to swing my bat, or pull out my dagger. It was on me too fast. I thought it was the end for me, and it almost was. Before it completely penetrated my arm, his head seperated from his neck and fell to the ground. I will not lie and say that it didn't faze me.... I stared at it for a min or two, kicking it's face before looking to see just why it had fallen. Standing on the roof of the walmart was a figure holding a very large cross bow. The Zed's decapitated body had a l metal stake sticking out...the kind you use to hold tents down while camping. I saw the figure motion for me to come to the doors, and I ran. I needed no more encouragement than that.
