Dear Readers,
As I sit here alone at night listening for the sounds of the undead as they walk the streets like lost souls on the Rive Styx, I ponder what to do next. About two weeks ago, these damn "zombies" started popping up on the news. I was sitting in my favorite recliner, as I am now, watching the television. I aimlessly flipped through the channels, and suddenly landed on the news. The story that was currently broadcasting was intriguing. These people had some kind of "disease" that killed them, and then they "came back to life". It sounded almost like a hoax, until they showed the footage of a man coming at the news reporter, and brutally attacking her. Not for the faint of heart. A few days later, the menace started knocking on my door. I looked through the peephole, noticed what was on the other side, and answered the knocking with an open of the door. The half eaten man tried to stagger his way into my living room. I gave him a front thrust kick to the stomach, which made him fall backwards a tad bit. I then took my 9mm gun I kept with me, and gave him a shot to the heart. He backed up a bit more, but kept coming forward with no resilience. I took aim once more and fired a second shot to his head. He instantly fell to the ground, not moving an inch afterward. The news was right. Destroying the brain of these creatures was the only way to finish them off. I closed the door and went to go get some supplies from my shed.
Like I said, it's been two weeks. I'm all barricaded up and I haven't left my house in what seems like ages. I'm just going to start blogging about my situation to give you guys an outlook of what is going on within my little hometown in Kentucky. The television has gone out. The electricity is still maintained because of my generator. It isn't a beautiful sight outside at all. Luckily, I have a good supply of food and water to keep me alive for the next week or two. I will then have to venture out with the damned atrocities. No matter because I've got my weapons to keep me alive. I have a 9mm pistol with almost an unlimited supply of ammo (I stocked up when I bought the gun so I wouldn't have to go back to that damned gun store. It smelled like ass in there. Very unpleasant), a machete (blades don't need reloading), a hatchet (sometimes I like to dual wield with the machete), and a crowbar (opens doors in a pinch; also good for bashing in brains inside a small building).
Well readers, it is getting late. I must conserve my energy, my time, my electricity, and go to sleep. Until tomorrow, fellow survivors. I will leave you with this...
