:REPORT:
I returned to Camp Redemption at 0900 this morning after a sixteen-day search mission with a large cargo, contents are as follows. Three 200HP-gas generators, thirty gallons of unleaded gas, twelve gallons of diesel, approximately one month worth on nonperishable food, an assortment of miscellaneous guns and ammo, five cartons of cigarettes :commandeered for personal rations:, several miscellaneous first aid, health care and personal supplies, and four female survivors ages 18, 19, 21, and 32. The supplies are from various sources along the Virginia West Virginia border.
The survivors were found in the basement of a small high school in Bluefield West VA. twelve days ago. They say they had been held up there for nine months, how they lasted that long is beyond me. The two access doors to the basement didn’t lock, and they only had a pair of field hockey sticks between them as weapons. I was literally able to walk in and say “BOO” before they even noticed I was there. It is my opinion they were lucky there was a light concentration of zombies in the area, and that I decided to check the school for supplies. I guess it just proves the old saying “luck will get you through more often than skill”. On a personal note, as much as I enjoyed their ways of showing Me their “gratitude” for taking them with me, I am glad to be rid of them, I had nearly forgotten how much I hate people.
