Dear Readers,
Some of you were wondering some things about me. What did I used to do before the zombie apocalypse? Where did I learn to shoot a gun, and also effectively dual wield my machete/hatchet? Why am I able to face multiple enemies at a time without getting a single scratch?
Well, I am going to tell you a little bit about myself, just so we can clear the air a bit. I worked at a roofing business. Just your average "american workhorse". Nothing fancy. Wasn't a caped crusader by night, I promise. I used to be an amateur cagefighter on the side. Was working on my dream to become the next "ultimate fighter", or at least become a full time professional MMA fighter. I had been training in Karate, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jui Jitsu, and Collegiate Wrestling ever since I could basically walk. My dad used to train in traditional karate, and I just adapted after that. Figured it might come in handy someday. Also learned a bit of self defense techniques and studied a tad bit of Krav Maga. Not a bunch, just dabbled a little bit. Not an expert by far. Learned the basics to effectively wield a weapon or two. Why I'm able to shoot a gun. Two words: Gun Range. I used to go to the local gun range a tiny bit and take a little bit of my frustration out on the targets. I had to have some type of leisure between all of the fighting classes and work. Shooting a gun just felt so...soothing. Made me feel human in a way, although that gun shop I bought my beretta from smelled entirely like asshole. That's why I seem to have an endless supply of ammunition. I stocked up a hell of a lot, even though the supply is starting to dwindle.
By the way, these accounts of me fighting multiple zeds. and living are purely coincidental. I am human and can die easily like everyone else. I do have bruises and minor cuts all over my body from it, I just don't feel the need to tell you about my minor injuries. That isn't very interesting. I could give you EVERY gritty detail, but I don't have the time for that. I am running this laptop from a generator, which is sapping the gas from it every millisecond I use it. I'd rather use my generator for other things....like surviving. lol
Anyway, there you have it. Some questions answered as thorough as I can without running this generator down to the last of my gas. Nothing has really happened these past few days really. Just had to go get more gas for the generator. Siphoned two and about a half fuel cans worth from some cars a block or two from my house. I need to make a stop to the local gas station to be honest, but I just don't know the best route for my survival. I have to map it out, which is taking me a bit more time. I'll figure something out. I tried out the radio. Only static so far, which sucks horribly. I need some kind of music. Country would even be okay, or even the news. JUST SOMETHING!!! Ugh..
Also, I spotted a few of the zombies that run while I was coming back from the gas mission. I call them "runners". Very original, eh? lol
They spotted me, and started running in my direction. I managed to fire my gun off with 4 rounds. Caught one in his kneecap and he hit th ground. Caught one in his head, and the other two rounds missed all three of the dead-heads completely. The third managed to get me to the ground when I swung at him with my machete. We wrestled for a minute, and I ended up full mounting him. Right when he opened his jaws to bite me, I managed to get my hatchet out. I then proceeded to cut through his forehead. One hit from my hatchet, and he sleeps soundly now. Very soundly. I feel kind of triumphant from killing these zombies. It's starting to get a bit fun. I was in my safehouse as fast I could be, though. Didn't want the slower moving undead to surround me or to encounter more runners. That wouldn't be good for my life. I'm back and fit as a fiddle. Got a bit scratched up from the ground, but I'm not infected or bitten. Good thing because these blogs would end. lol
Well, I'm going to go to sleep now. My eyes are getting heavy. Until next time, my fellow compadres. Be safe!
