Remember these are some of my old entries I kept from the fire.  There are still plenty more.

November 1, 2011:

Today I started my morning off like any other morning, I kept watch made sure no zombz were on there way, then headed out to see how some of our plants were doing and that is were the "Normal" routine morning stopped.  The flashbacks started again.  Although they weren't as intense as they were yesterday, they still happened on a more than normal basis.  I was watering a couple of our orange tree's and that's when it struck me.  Our first kiss.  It was the first time that I have thought about it since this whole fiasco happened.  It was a normal yet somewhat chilly night.  We had hung out all day.  She saw the scars on my arms and stormed off.  I found her but she refused to talk to me.  She wouldn't talk to me.  After about 2 hours I finally got fed up and took her to a stair case.  It was an unfinished staircase.  There was blue tarp over the top of the stairs, and we sat under there and talked for about 20 minutes.  I was telling her everything.  Why I did it, why it shouldn't effect her.  The whole shabang.  I looked at her, she looked at me and we kissed.  It was a gentle kiss.  One that wasn't rushed, but it wasn't slow.  I can still remember her soft lips and how they met mine.  They fit perfectly into the contours of my own.  That was my first kiss in my life, and no kiss was ever the same as that one.

After the flashback flooded my memory, I sat down and just stared into the blank blue sky as it stared right back at me.  I'm still not sure weather I was staring at it looking for a sign, Maybe for answers.  I'm not positive, nor do I really even know why I stared up at the ruthless sky of blue, but something brought back the memory of her.  I could see the sky roll up into a ball that formed into her Iris.  Her eyes were the most beautiful blue eyes.  They had a certain hue to them that made them remarkably beautiful.  As the sky formed into her iris, it began to shrink, next came the blackness of the mascara that ran around her eyes.  It always made her look so beautiful and really brought her eyes out.  Soon after that her face formed and then her silky long beautiful hair danced around in the Autumn breeze.

The next thing I remember was waking up on the floor and the first thing I saw was that unrelenting Sky, still staring straight back at me.  So I got up and water the plants like I originally set out to do.  I'm not sure how long I was asleep or even IF I was asleep.  All I know is that after I watered those plants I set out to go and raid some house by myself.  Danielle never liked the Idea of me going out alone, and neither did Jesse.  But they know when to leave it alone and they let me go by myself without a hassle or a hesitation. I was day dreaming while I walked to sector 21.  [Sectors are how we mark the map on places to look.  Each sector can contain up to 3-4 miles of housing]  We didn't go to Sector 21 or 43 often, and thats why I went.  Is because no one ever wen't there.  There was something about those two sectors that were...  Off.  So after a good hour of walking I saw it... The gates to "Quill Run" aka Sector 21. I paused, took a deep breath and climbed the gate into what could be Zombz Heaven.

I walked around and started to head straight for the middle.  Why would I even bother with the outer houses?  They have all more than likely been raided. So I stumbled up a little grass hill to cross a little bridge.  This was called Flanders Park.  An earthquake happened a while back and it split the hill and ruined some of the houses.  So they put a nifty little bridge on to connect the split sector back before the Z-poc happened.  Anyways, I crossed the bridge and started my brigade.  House after house, I searched and searched.  I was in my 8th house when I heard a shingle nail the concrete outside.  I turned around.  Pulled out my UMP and quickly started scanning the rooms, Nothing.  I opened the door and there hanging form the ceiling was Jesse.  We have a couple of different nick names for him such as Rooster and Bahdoner. He's been a great friend since this started.  Well anyways, I yelled at him and cursed and he just fell off the roof and hit the floor laughing.  I screamed about how I was so close to shooting his head off but things like that never bothered him.

So we raided a bunch of houses together and wrote down the House numbers as we raided each house.  It was so we never wasted time.  Well anyways, Jesse being the sly little bastard that he is,  He was gone in a matter of seconds after the last house.  So I started walking back to the gate.  I was about 100 yards form reaching the gate when I heard him.  It was a sweet soft tune that any mockingbird would love to sing.  It was Jesse, from God knows where, warning me that there was danger ahead.  I've always loved how he was always watching out, but it never seemed like he was.  A jeep pulled over right in front of the gate.  I pulled out my binoculars and last my breathe when I saw it.  A part of my pants were hanging on the gate.  It was a big bunch of the fabric too.  It was a flag screaming "Come get me, I'm here."  I stayed as silent in the bushes as I could.  The jeep let out 5 raiders and then a second jeep pulled up and let out 3 more.  The two drivers then pulled away and left.  I could see the main "leader" of the group.  He was big, fat hairy and looked like he was pissed.  An easy target and hell of a good dinner. [What!?  Don't judge me!  A growing boy needs to eat some good food every once in a while!]  The other 7 were like little minions crowded around the Fat man as he yelled orders at them.  One of them ran out of the group to the security booth and tried to open the gate.  he ended up hoping the fence and pushing the gate open.  They slowly walked up the street to were I was hiding.  I knew I had to take out the fat man because we needed the food.

All I heard was a crack, The most muscular guy bit the dirt as I came running out of the bush for once going fully automatic with my UMP .45, hitting about 3 of them.  I heard another crack and Two of them fell.  All that was left was the fat man and his Security booth pal.  I swiftly reloaded and they both sat there in amaze and in daze as they thought I had single handedly wiped out there squad of skum.  I sat there as if time had slown down, just to watch the fat mans head tear apart as Jesse's bullet wen't into the back of his head and rip out his front.  He fell faster than a kamikaze pilot out of the sky.  I swapped back to single fire and put two in the chest one in the head of the Security Booth man.  I heard a second whistle from Jesse signaling that one of the jeeps had turned around.  I wen't back into the bush to wait and ambush the jeep.  We saw the jeep slowly pull up to the gate.  As it crepped into the gate, Jesse shot the driver.

We stole the jeep, loaded the men, guns and ammo into the back of it and drove by our safe house.  We unloaded the bodys about 100 yards from our safe house and then we took the jeep to the Canyon.  We got out, I put a rock on the pedal and we watch the jeep tumble and roll down into the canyon. After that we wen't down got some water from the canyon and headed back to the safe house.  When we returned we got everyone to come out and grab some bodies and help us.  We won't eat anyone who looks to be too pale or who has any open wounds (other than the bullet holes or wounds that we inflict)  We ended up eating a great meal that night and sat around the dinner table talking about what we were going to do after the Zpoc ended.

Today was better than what was expected from this morning.  Another day survived and another day ahead of me to loose it all.
