Chapter 12: Temptation

Landon looked up at the figures in the doorway. They were dressed in Swat suits
and looked ready for a war. Landon looked around and saw that Carlisle and Seargent
were unconsious and everybody else was looking wide eyed at the Swat officers.

The one in front of the pack pulled Landon upon to his feet. "Are any of you
bitten?" he asked. "We just found some of these people in a school bus, but me and
Carlisle aren't," Landon replyed. "Are you the ones who made that radio signal?"

"Yea but we thought that there wouldn't be this many of you," he said. Landon
replied, "We thought there would be more of you."

"Fair enough," he said with a smirk. Just then Carlisle got up. He looked at
the swat officers and said "You must be the ones with the helicopter. I'm Carlisle and
this is my army!"

"We aren't an army," Landon muttered so soft he could barly hear it. Carlisle
continued talking with the officers while Landon wondered torward the back of the
group. The girl Carlisle was talking to earlier followed him. Landon put leaned against
the wall when the girl walked up to him.
