Combat Report for 14, September 2007

After receiving Reports On September 8th 2007 from a 911 call the U.S. government established Zombie Emergency Response Operations, Code name Zero to deal with the situation. The 911 call from a mobile phone in Northern California, the person claimed that he was at a pharmaceutical testing facility where they are testing Campion Virus treatments. The caller then claimed that some of the patients have died and are attacking people. The 911 operator asks if the patients are dead or are attacking to which the caller responds, “both.” This is the first recorded case of zombie behavior resulting from the Campion Virus.
After realizing that the situation needs to be dealt with The Zero team was established and dispatched to Northern California. On 10 September, 2007 at 0600 hours, Zero was brought online; it was decided that a special team was needed at this time to investigate the events of 8 September 2007. After three days of briefing the Zero team was dispatched and arrived in an undisclosed location in Northern California.

On 14 September 2007 we arrived at the testing facility at 1430 hours. First the perimeter was secured, at this time it was determine that there had been a breach in security and that the perimeter fencing had been compromised. The opening in the fence was secured in order to establish a full perimeter and prevent anything from escaping we left two fire teams on the perimeter to maintain the integrity of perimeter. We entered the main facility at 1445 hours at which time we accessed the security system and closed camera system. Most of the cameras were either destroyed at this time or being covered by something to the point of rendering the system almost useless. After securing the security office, we left a fire team to maintain the system and to attempt to bring it back online to assist in the operation. We then went into the main office to look for the doctors and patients. Upon entering the research section of the facility we found what looked like three bodies, along with an unknown amount of body parts which were determined to have been chewed on. The three bodies which looked as if they might be able to sustain zombism were shot in the head for security measures. Moving further into the facility we encountered three doctors which were determined to be suffering from zombism. In our attempts to bring a sample back for further study two members of the Zero Team were bitten, they were immediately quarantine and dealt with. At this time we accessed the main data storage section of the facility we retrieved the security system data, and the research data. After determining that no one was left alive in the facility and after retrieving the primary data we attempted to evacuate the facility. As we exited the building it was determine that the fire team that had been left inside the security office had been infected. We were forced to deal with these infected, after gathering the bodies we found what had been the source of their infection which had been taken care of already before they had turned. We Exited the facility and returned to our vehicles to meet up with the two remain fire teams outside. Two members of that group met us at the vehicle and informed us that all other members of the team had been infected and killed. We attempted to secure the facility and remove all sources of the infection, but after sustain 80% casualties we evacuated the facility and returned to base for debriefing.
