Dead Armageddon - Ep. 8

Day 408... We're on the road... We just couldn't hold the depot. I can't begin to explain how bad this is... Along with being out of food, shelter, and clean water, the group has dealt with a massive blow to morale. What's left of the group, anyway. T.O. and Rick never made it out alive. So not only are we down by 2 people, and out of a home and essential supplies, we're also dealing with the fact that two people in our group are very unstable.

Dalton has been building so much animosity between everyone, we may have to get rid of him before he becomes a bigger threat. In addition to that, Dawn, the old woman, has gone completely nuts. After watching her husband get dismembered and eaten, she insists on blaming me for his death. What was I supposed to do? Jump into the fray with a machete and drag his infected ass to the car? At this point, the group has split. Josh, Paige, and I are in constant fear for our lives. Considering the instability of the other group, we may have to leave during the night to keep them from doing something drastic.

The problem is that Dalton is driving the transport truck, which has everything we need. Extra fuel, food, water, etc. He refuses to let anyone else drive it, with the exception of his little bitch, Danny. They sleep in the bed of it every time we stop to rest. I'll have to create a diversion or something just long enough to keep them distracted while I steal the truck, which may mean attracting more zombies. I'm struck with a moral dilemma though. In order to preserve the safety and survival of the people I'm with, I have to leave 3 of them behind to die. I suppose when it comes to survival, the greater of two evils is the way to go...

We've decided that we're going to the west coast. Josh told us stories about a military encampment in Anchorage. Apparently the cold is enough to keep the dead from getting too far. The only reason I've agreed to such a long and dangerous trip is because we have to pass through Washington to get to Alaska... If there's a chance that she's still alive, even the smallest chance at all, then it's a chance worth taking.
