House Hunting

We are currently looking for a secure area to set up. Our world has been slowly falling apart and Ive been worried that the U.S is going to be heading towards another Great Depression...Our futures are looking bleek, I think. Unless the government and the House gets its ass back on the right track and settles this warfare business and the economy equilizes before it smacks itself hard into the thickest titanium wall ever. We've also got our eyes on the markets and they have dipped too low for comfort. As you well know, reports of the commotion have been on news broadcasts over this.
There are loads of threats that have been produced by other worlds and could be being in the process of recieving the green light.

You can find unique insights about developments in science and technology if you look close enough.

But soon I do hope to be out of the place we are in now because even thou it has some space to stock up and store neccessary needs, It also has large and small windows throughout the North, South, East and West sides which is a minor setback. The house itself is not ours. We actually live in a small apartment attached to the North side. Even the basement has windows going around each side. I can see it now, those windows being kicked out or shoved in as people crawl through to get inside..Its a large home but too much insecurity.

Being that the economy is haveing its day, One thing is in our favor is that the number of foreclosed residential homes and many other properties that are suited to fit whatever needs we are searching for are coming up available in the towns and cities. Some are too damn small thou for my taste. We are just in the waiting phase now because Ive got my sights set on a place that will do well. Plenty of yard space to dig a cellar. It has a good sized basement for storage with a woodstove down in it and room to have a backup generator. Plus it also has a brand spankin new furnace, a garage and shed for holding supplies. The best things about it is its aways from the road, the complete yard is fenced in so that will slow anyone down, the buildings are close to the house so we do not have to run too far in case of an emergancy and the house does not have an endless amount of windows surrounding the entire place. The ones that it does have are up too high where nobody (or bodies) can reach.

Indeed, I am defenatly intrested in moving to a secure location that has room in order to stock equipment, weaponry, food and medical supplies to prepare ahead of time. It would be excellant to have that kind of area to set up a perimeter and be able to moniter everything outside as well.
I have been looking into the right kind of place to make an outbreak or war event here easier and its the best i've come up with so far for it has my attention.
Ive also been researching many types of dangers we might come to face in our lifetimes (in case it does not skip this generation) and found a few topics that are there, Just to prepare. Basically gives us the heads up signal.

Everyone pretty much knows of Max Brooks Zombie Survival Guide which is a great educational read too. I just wish it was longer.
