Harrison County M.S. , Biloxi / Gulfport area: Class 1 ( 9 confirmed) infection at this time, down considerably from the Class 2 infection in the area prior to activation of the National Guard
Jackson County M.S., Class 1 infection ( 12 Confirmed )
Hancock County M.S., Class 2 infection ( 57 Confirmed )
All reports are estimations and should be viewed as such.
For the time being I am located in my sailboat approximately 500’ off the shore of Long Beach MS in the gulf of Mexico : Latitude :30.325264 Longitude: -89.183493
The infection seems to be slowing somewhat in my area due the mobilization of the guard and increased efforts of Law enforcement, but all I can speak of is the immediate area of U.S. Highway 90 and the southern portions of U.S. Highway 49.
Everything west of Pass Christian MS ( which is now off limits ) appears to be considerably more populated with the infected.
All Highways running East, West are closed to west bound traffic, this is also the case for interstate I-10 running through the Mississippi coastal counties of Jackson, Harrison and Hancock. The states of Mississippi and Louisiana have instituted an East bound contra flow on interstate I-10, all lanes run East now, no west bound traffic into the state of Louisiana. Everything west of exit 20 on interstate I-10 ins M.S. is off limits all together. I have attempted to get close to New Orleans, L.A. by boat, but was turned around by Coast Guard vessels, I only got within Six miles, and would only attempt this during daylight hours due to uncharted coastal debris still left over from Hurricane Katrina .
I can report that the night sky to the west, south west of my location glows red at night, I can only assume this is the city of New Orleans, and she is burning. I can only assume that New Orleans is a class 4 dead zone. If anyone can confirm this please do, I have family In New Orleans that I have not had contact with since January 5th .
I have attempted to upload pictures and video I have taken, but due failing wireless communications in my area, a text based report is all I can submit at this time, when and if I am able to obtain more bandwidth I will submit a more detailed report . until then I will report what I can, when I can.
Good luck and prayers to all
Matt
