I'm not going to write this journal with lies, I'm not going to soften it, and to start, the only people still alive are my sister Nicole, brother Mike, niece Autumn, and myself (John).
RIP Mom and Dad

Today's Date is 2/14/08 Happy Valentines day

The world was gone.

First day of infection: Army enters Iowa City, to subside looters, and to calm the general public.
Second day of infection: Army is hit with the infection, and wiped out within hours.

The day was the third day in hell, all hope was gone. Infected had taken over the streets of Iowa City, the only chance of survival was holding out. Staying below windows and being quiet was the way of life as of then.

I wasn't not alone though my entire family has been here since the infection started, works became closed, so other than food there was no reason to leave. My father had always been afraid of getting sick, so he would leave with a gas mask to buy groceries, while the airborne infection was still around. My friends also stayed with us, we had the guns so they went to our house in a chance to survive. Total there was 10 people, 6 family (Including myself) 4 friends.

My friends are Phil, Rich, Ned, and Sean

Between the first and third day of the zombification phase of the Campion Virus the house has changed, bedroom doors ripped out, and put in front of windows, almost all sunlight was cut. Other than small cracks that couldn't be covered was the only way to see outside, though no one even wanted to visualize what was going on outside, if it was a blood bath, or if it was surprisingly calm.

We slept downstairs, guns off their safety. Always with an eye open, we still weren't sure how the zombies reacted. We didn't know if they would break through concrete with super human strength or if they would get blocked by something being out of site.

Not a noise is heard through the night.
