I started writing a story about a zombie outbreak. Just thought I should share it. Please tell me if i should make any improvements or anything. Also your opinion. Here it is:

This is my story, of the fight, the escape, and the outbreak. Nobody could have imagined that such an event, such a god-awful travesty, could have happened. And this is the story of how I survived, with only the important resources of food, water, family, and friends.
I tried to keep a diary of daily events, and tried to recall all of the events before I started keeping records. Thusly, all of the early events before the outbreak may not be fully accurate.

Saturday January 10, 2009

It started out as a normal day. I woke up, late, ate breakfast, late, and sat and watched the TV. However, while I was flipping through the channels, I came across an interesting news story. According to CNN, “rabid” men and women were savagely attacking each other in rural areas internationally (it would come to pass that this bit of information was incorrect). Unfortunately, most people took it as nothing but another freak incident. Hell, they seemed to occur more and more these days. But as the day progressed, the news story mad itself a more prominent thought in my mind.

Wednesday January 14, 2009

After school, I came home to see my father watching the news with a twisted expression on his face. After asking what was wrong, he replied, “This-this is so odd. How could so many people all die so quickly?” I decided not to ask, but instead turned my attention towards the television screen. In the little town of Wasilla, Alaska, 367 people dies, all from the weekly aforementioned “rabid” people. The news reported that the National Guard was called in to ‘take care of” the situation. Although it was never said aloud, it was assumed, if not known, that the phrase “take care of” meant that they were to be killed. My dad quickly called my mom and sister in Utah. They talked about the sudden case of rabies that seemed to oh so quickly sweep its way across the world and into the United States. I retreated to my room, and went onto my computer. Later, the rabies story became more and more of a primary news item. People were already figuring it to be a cover up. I wasn’t one of them. I trusted the government. I believed that they would always do what was in best interest for the country. I was wrong.
