Journal 2

Hey, everett here. Ok its been a hard couple days but me and ryan have made it. Since i last left off, me and ryan have been watching the news and doing research about the zombie infestation. It turns out that the media is covering this whole thing up, and obviously no help is coming, i guess that the cops dont wana lose any men. So Ryans house has a big pantry and a big fridge, it helps that no one has cut the power yet, so we have enough food. But even though we have power, we dont want to turn on many lights, in case one of the zombies sees them. We have little lamps on, and me and ryan are around the computer trying to find out what to do.

First ryan suggest we wait here for help. But thats unlikely, even if cops did come in, theyd be the ones needing help. So i go on google map, and i mark 3 locations, the store, the gun and ammo shop, and various houses around town. These i think are the 3 locations we need to go to. We have enough food, but we know it wont last forever, so we decided to go to the store first. We left one window open to escape, so we climbed out. Its just like dawn of the dead out here, especially during the day. There are cars everywhere with no one in them, oops nevermind there are people, but they are so beaten and scratched that i cant tell. We start heading down the street, me with my pistol and ryan with his knife, then we hear a noise. Its a guy yelling, thats when we start running, there might be a survivor. We go about a block, and see a man cowering in a corner of a house, with about 10 zombies closing in on him. He sees us and yells for us to help, so i start to unload some bullets into the zombies. At first i hit them all around the body, but then i remembered that your supposed to shoot them in the head, so i aim higher and start firing. I eventually start killing them one by one.

The problem is that there are still 2 going after the man, so ryan runs over and actually stabs one through its eye! I eventually get the hang of how to do this, and just start pulling off head shots everywhere. After we kill all of them, we go over to make sure he's ok. We look and he doesnt have any bite marks, so we breath a sigh of relief. So now we have 3 people in the group. His name is jonathan, and his family is now gone. He says that he woke up that morning 6 days ago and his parents were gone. For days he was scared to go outside. Eventually he saw a helicopter go over head that day, and went outside to flag it down. Thats when the zombies started walking towards him and he ran. He eventually got tired and got cornered outside a house, thats where we found him. So we told him we were heading to the store
(which is good since we have another mouth to feed). He agreed to stay with us so we headed there. We ran into a couple more zombies maybe 5 or 6, but we got to the store. The electricity is still up so we dont have to worry about getting the perishable foods first. We get as many carts as we can and bring them back to the house. We spend about 2 hours lifting them through the windows, then we eventually settle back into the house. We had to give jonathan a weapon, so we gave him a kitchen knife i had. But then we hear moaning, and close too. Then a zombie is right behind me, about 3 feet away. I guess it followed us through the window (which like an idiot i forgot to close right away). I thought i was dead, but luckily jonathan saved my life. Apparently he was a black belt in tae kwon do, and an expert in shuriken (which is basically a japenese throwing knife), so the next thing i know he throws his knife and it goes right through the zombies head. After that we officially gave him all the knifes for his weapon.

That was pretty much what happened the day after journal 2. For the last 2 days we have been looking for updates in the news, eating, and talking. So jonathan has the knifes, and i have a gun, but ryan doesn't have anything (he gave his knife to jonathan, since he's better with it). So tomorrow we are planning on going on another voyage to the gun and ammo shop. Wish us luck, will be back with part 3 soon.
