Journal Part 1.

I dont know whats going on, All I have to go on are suspicions, and guesses. Not that it takes much brains to understand what "They" are. It started sometime back in May, I think. Las vegas went straight downhill, along witht he rest of the United States. Canada closed it borders to immegrants, militerized the whole thing. The virus still got in. Pretty much the whole country has gone dark now, I havent heard anything from anybody in days. No radio, no television, nothing, just silence. Its maddening. Of course I mean silence aside from thier constant moaning, they never stop... Thats probably whats driving me up the wall... Ill be right back

That took a while... there were at least fourty out there... Its a good thing I have these rifles or I'd be long gone... I've been considering my position, the house Im in and all is'nt very defendable, and its only a matter of time before "They" figure out where I am... Luckily I have a garage, alot of power tools and an S.U.V. I found on the street a couple blocks away... Supplies are running low though, I should probably go get more before it gets dark... That and fortify this house If I'm going to call it home for very long...

Barley got home in time, its suprisingly easy to move around in the dark without those things seeing you... I think if you avoid making too much noise they dont notice at all, maybe they're hard on hearing... Ill have to remember that. At any rate I got what I went out for, and then some. Apparently "Save-on-foods" keeps alot of thier canned items in the back of the store than on the shelves, its was a goldmine back there. I half-expected the S.U.V. not to start because it was so loaded down with cans... Luckily it did. After I did my "Shopping" and dropped the cans off at home, I started thinking about the damndable house Im in. If "They" find me and try to get me... There are windows all over the place... Not to mention the flimsy doors... Suprisingly, and to my delight, I found a small power generator in the street by a power pole. Looks like road crews were doing something when it happened.... Either way Its mine now, went back and got it after I dropped off the groceries. Works good too, its a bit loud though so I put it in the basement. Now I have electricity to a limited extent... I can power a microwave ^_^ no more cold meals... Anyway I was considering going to a hardware store tommorow, seeing what I can scrounge to fortify the house... Have to go...

Made it! Even better I found one of those loading vans in the loading bay of Home Hardware, all the windows are covered in sheet metal now, the doors are thicker and have proper locks on them. If "They" decide to attack, I think I'll be able to hole up in here for a while, outlast them maybe. Im starting to wonder if these things even need to eat, they've lasted for so long, in the cold too... It was -30 today, they still limp around like usual! buggers.... Hold on...

You wont believe it! four of them! four people! SURVIVORS! Mary, June, Amanda and Rob! I thought for sure I was the only one but... I cant believe it! I just cant Believe it! Three girls and a guy! they were trying to get away from a pack of Runners when they went by my house the other night! I ran out there, tossed a rifle to the guy and we managed to get inside before they got to us, even killed a few too! We killed the rest this morning from the house roof. These things are determined, they were smacking themselves on the door for hours trying to get in... Either way, theres FIVE of us now, five! God Im excited! Each of them have beds now... not seperate rooms, but beds... June has a strange rash across her right arm though, Im gonna go take a look. Rob is a doctor, he says its nothing. But I'm still curious...
