Lost and Found

It's been a while since I've blogged, but unfortunately it couldn't be helped. Shortly after making the decision to travel to other communities to see where I could help kill the most zeds, I recieved news that the bunker I sent my family to stay at, was breached, everyone there was attacked, and either turned or slaughtered. I lost it for quite a while after that. Tried killing myself, but the damn gun jammed up. tried blowing up zombies, but had to stop that for a while too, everything just got to me, so I crawled into a shed of all things, and sat tight for a while. Found a liquor store that hadn't gotten looted somehow, and spent the last several months trying to die from booze poisoning. That didn't work obviously, just gave me a damn high tolerance. Anyone want to do shots? Seriously though, I've finally come to grips with the fact that my family is now dead, or undead. I don't have the guts to go back there and see. I just can't do it. I feel as though I'm alone in a world where the zeds are winning. As far as my location now goes, I've found a decent cabin in the middle of nowhere. there didn't seem to be that many zeds here, and those that were, I took care of easily enough, they'd been turned a while, and their decay was pretty far advanced. I'm thinking about setting up an outpost here. Each day I've been gathering suppolies. I've found a good stock of canned and dry goods. The nearby town had only one small grocery store, and two convenient store/gas stations. I found a couple generators at some of the local houses, still exploring those though. Looks like it's been at least six months since anything living was here though. Found a few downed fences, and what looks like possible livestock tracks. Something else I plan on tracking. But the smell in most of these places...well, you'd think I'd be used to the odor of rotting meat by now, but suprisingly not. I'll post more as soon as I can in regards to this place. Perhaps others can join me here.
