NANOWRIMO DAY #14: Starting week three

I've written 21,699 words in my NANOWRIMO novel. That's somewhere around 80 pages. I'm on track to hit 50k words by the end of the month.

The writing is going smoothly, at least in terms of getting my daily quota of words written. The story, however, is all over the place. Instead of writing in chronological order I've been jumping forward and back in time. I'm doing this because I need to be sure to tackle important plot points in the LZ timeline... And it keeps me writing at a break-neck pace. I don't think this is a bad thing, it just means re-writing will be a larger task then I'd expected.

If you have specific scenes or questions you want answered in the book please post them.

And, yes Omega, I know you want to have a cameo in the story.

Okay, so in September somebody makes that phone call "Dead and attacking", then, essentially 2 months later, almost 75% of the US (At least) is Dead or Undead, that means that this disease is extremely virulent, moreso than nearly any other in history, even moreso than the black plague.  Basically, from the first "recorded" outbreak on September 8th to the 75% estimate on November 19th were talking 50 states in about 72 days.  Thats mass hysteria. That being the case, how did it spread so quickly?  Even an airborne virus would spread less quickly than that.  So how did it spread?  What did that infection pattern look like?  Could there be a clue as to where this virus originated in how it was spread?  Was the whole country more or less sick and then when the virus mutated it mutated almost on the spot for everyone already infected?

@Cody  Thanks. for the feedback. I agree, the DUMP DUMP DUMP approach is the way to go... I'll probably post some excerpts from the first draft, but not the whole thing. It's a mess currently and needs a large amount of work before it's readable.

@Omega  good questions, thanks.

That's always the best thing to do, as gross as it sounds just DUMP DUMP DUMP.haha  You can't halt that flow of creativity by being a stickler with chronological order. Every time I had ever written a story, it was when I went back to rewrite and put things in order that all the creative stuff really started to come out and tie all the loose ends up.

Are you going to make your story public before you start your rewrites? I'm definitely interested in checking it out.
