New year

So, the chicken we had for Christmas was delicious. But then for the 1st day of 2008 we had no food to celebrate with. Anyways, we're now in need to go outside. We just have to, because the stupidest of needs just decided to show up. And that is: tampons.
It's stupid, because in the midst of this friggin' apocalypse going on, we all forgot that women do need that kind of thing. My personal stash is about to end, and I feel completely, undeniably, utterly stupid. The good thing about this is: now wee need to go outside, so there's no need to fight against our own wishes. We've been speculating about going outside and take a look, but we always decide against it. Now we need to, and to be honest, we are all damn curious about what's waiting for us outside.
Again, I don't think there are many infected out there. We haven't heard anything since two days ago, when someone shot an infected and we heard the screams. We were so surprised that another person was alive, and around, that the presence of the infected didn't really seem to matter. He, or she, is probably the only person in the street besides us. Everyone else went to the mountains.
Tomorrow we'll go outside and get some tampons, guns, ammo, food and water. Even though our food + water stash is still good, there's no such thing as "enough" in a situation like this.
