Note

I went out scavenging for supplies again today. I found a reasonably good haul,with what most people expect to find these days. I found 2 cans of bread,3 cans of beans,a can of peas,along with a case of bottled water and,lucky me, a medicie cabinet full of antibiotics and stichings. I realized that a two story house wouldn't just have these,since these are hospital quality from across town,so I started to search the house again looking for survivors. I found them,a dead couple and an infant,lying sprawled out of the floor of their bedroom. The infant was still alive,but seriously famished,so I found some formula and fed it. I also found a note lying on the dresser. It read "To anyone who finds this,I'm sorry for the grisly sight you've just seen,but it had to be done. My wife and I had a child that we couldn't stand to see being devoured by one of those creatures wandering outside,so we went out our own way. If the child is still alive,please take care of it.I know it's much to ask in these hard times,but we just wanted him to be safe."

It's things like this that still make me sick to my stomach about these creatures,but I must know more before I can attempt any action. I've named the child Micheal,after my own late son.
