SOURCE OF ACTIVITY
On Thursday, August 12, 2008, at approximately 2351 hours, I was dispatched to 2100 Rancho California Royal Apartments Apt. #22 in reference to a domestic disturbance. Dispatch informed me that a Woman reported hearing Screams in the Apartment next to hers.

OBSERVATION
Upon arrival, I knocked on the door, at which time I heard screams coming from the back side of the building. Upon reaching the back side of the building I witnessed a white male attacking a female who was at the time on the ground. I identified myself as a police officer and ordered the male to back away from the woman and to put his hands in the air. The male, gave no verbal response. I again identified myself as a police officer and repeated the commands; again the suspect gave no verbal response. At this time the Suspect looked away from the victim and was no looking at me. I saw no weapon on the suspect, but could see deep wounds on the victim. The suspect began to walk towards me. I ordered the suspect to stop and to lay face down on the ground. The suspect began to grunting, swing his arms and trying to bite at me. I pushed the Suspect away from myself, and again ordered him to lay face down on the ground. At this time I noticed the Suspect had severe lacerations to his neck and face. The suspect again began walking towards me, I ordered him to stop or I would be forced to shoot. The Suspect again attacks me at which time I fired three shots into the suspect’s chest. I then radioed dispatch for an ambulance for the Victim and the Suspect. I checked the Victim for signs of life, the victim had been disemboweled and had been dead for some time, it looked as if the Suspect had bitten through the Victim. As I Began to tape of the area, I noticed the suspect to be moving. I ordered the suspect to stay down and informed him that an ambulance was on its way. I stepped towards the suspect and he began to reach towards me, and tried to bite me leg. The suspect attempted to bite through my leather boots at which time I fired one round through the back of the victims head. At this one shot was fired from the second floor of the apartment building. I pointed my weapon at the resident, who then put there weapon down. As I holstered my weapon I noticed that the resident had shot the victim that had been determined to be dead. After another squad car, and ambulance arrived I took the apartment resident back to the police station to take her statement.

STATEMENT (apartment resident)
The resident of the apartment building stated that the Suspect was dead before he had been shot. She stated that some of the other residents were infected with something that brought them back from the dead and the only way to kill them was to shoot them in the head. She informed me that four other residents beside the two that had been shot behind the building were infected, and that she had shot them.

Further action
Four other bodies were found at the apartment building all with similar bullet wounds to the head, which was later determined to be from the rifle recovered from the apartment resident. It was determined that the apartment resident was 5150 and was set up for transport to the local hospital. Before the Witness could be transported to the hospital two federal agents took custody of the witness and informed us to write our report as normal, but to leave all names out and to forward it to a private e-mail server.

ARREST
No arrests were made at this time.
