Prologue of Lockdown at night.
Today was the day that we would go demonstrate at the Parkside building. We decided to make 2 groups, because we would make two banners. Victoria, Jason, Matt and Rachel were a group, so me, Phineaus and October formed a group. I knew all of them, except for Matt, Phineaus and October from the school we were on together.
After graduation I went to study for forensic pathologist. Met a nice guy there, dated for a while and we got a relationship. But when he broke my heart Phineaus was there. I never got to finish my study because of the virus, and I was so close to graduating. I was going to be the youngest forensic pathologist, with 23 years. I lived in a dorm at the university, my parents and brother where 3 hours away with the car.
Phineaus is a 25 year old friend of mine. Phineaus and I grew up together in the same street. He is like a big brother to me. After graduation Phineaus went the different way than me. He started working at the Grand Circle Paper. He loves to write about everything but politics. Before the virus outbreak started, Phineaus overheard a conversation about the animal testing in the Parkside Building. He is the one who said that we had to go to the demonstration.
Then there is October. October is Phineaus’ sister, she is 5 years younger. But sometimes she likes to act like his mother. Their parents died recently in a car crash, October didn’t got over it yet. Before the outbreak October was a drop out, hanging with the wrong friends, doing drugs and such. October was never interested in the future, she always lived by the day. October only joined our demonstration group because Phin said that he would gave her money for her addiction. But he and I both knew, that he wasn’t going to give the money to her.
I met Victoria in school. She and I can get a long very good, although she is one year younger then me. Sometimes she feels like a sister to me. We can share everything to each other. Victoria did a photography study and when she was done, she was very successful. She had a own business, and was going to make it. She also loved animals, and was with us to beside demonstrate, also there to make photo’s of the demonstration. I guess she made some photo’s of the riot.
Jason, what to tell about Jason. He’s just a 24 year old guy who graduated, and after that he spend time with doing nothing. Jason had done no study, and didn’t likes to work. Jason was always partying. That is the plus for having wealthy parents, who don’t ask to many questions. So I can be very short about him. He only went with us because October was in our group.
Matt is a friend from me. Matt and I met in a bar, and ever since then, we hung out. We talked a lot and so I found out his story. After graduation he went to medical school, he had nothing to say about it. His parents sort of forced him into that, because everybody in his family was a doctor or a lawyer. If Matt would’ve stood up more for himself then he would have been attending the study for computer engineering, because Matt really liked his computers. And just like the others of us, he was against the experimenting with viruses on animals. He was full of joy when Phin and I asked him for the demonstration.
Rachel was in first instance a friend of mine. That changed when I found out that she tried to get my ex boyfriend, and she succeeded. Afterwards I was glad that she did that. Though I didn’t spoke with her for more than 2 years, we got in touch again for the demonstration. Phin had asked her. Rachel worked in a beauty – nail salon. During the break, Rachel walked to me and told me that she had made the biggest mistake ever to cheat on me with my boyfriend from that time. She found out that he was a cheating bastard. But it was too bad that she had to find that out when she was pregnant of his child. After she found out that he cheated on her, she got a miscarriage from all the stress she was going thru. Because beside her boyfriend cheating on her and breaking up with him, her grandmother died. Her grandmother was the woman who raised her since she was 8, because her parents where to busy with themselves.
All of our lives changed when the virus broke out. We all lost our family, but there was one bright side, we had each other.
