Pumpkin Contest Winner and National Novel Writing Month

There were some awesome pumpkins submitted to the pumpkin carving contest. You can view all the pumpkins here. This contest was in good fun and everyone did a great job, but I thought this pumpkin by ZRTF was especially creative.

I also wanted to tell you guys about a very cool site called Nanowrimo which stands for National Novel Writing Month. Every November Nanowrimo hosts a competition challenging folks to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. There are no prizes involved. The entire competition is really about you challenging yourself to write. Can you discipline yourself to write 50,000 words in a month? I've taken part in Nanowrimo and I found it to be a very rewarding experience. So all you writers, check it out. Maybe you can write a Zombie novel. If enough members here sign up we can create a Nanowrimo group.
