It was slowly getting dark outside and I was starting to get worried that maybe Ryan wasn’t going to show up at all. I checked out my cell phone to see if anyone had called me, perhaps to see if I was still alive. No message icons blinked to inform me that I had a message waiting to be checked; of course if the zombie epidemic was real then all the phone lines would be plugged up.
While I waited for Ryan to show up I decided to pack my bag with supplies that I would possibly need for survival. I went into my room and out of instinct, tried the light switch. When I remembered that the power was down I clicked the flashlight on. I managed to round up some guns and a few boxes of ammo. I raided my dresser to find some clothes and set them down on my bed.
I walked over to my closet and opened it only find that I hadn’t exactly kept up with the cleaning. Everything in the closet fell down on top of me and I was buried under a pile of college books and dress clothes. I quickly pushed all the stuff off of me and quickly started searching the bottom of my closet for my backpack. While I was searching, I came across an old family photo and began wondering if this 'epidemic' was quarantined in a small area, and if not had my parents managed to escape the outbreak. It wasn't the best thing in the world to think about, but it was the only thing I could think about.
