Its been a long night. A group of rotters found our new camp and laid seige to it. Gene was the first to notice them, he heard moans from a distance and knew it was a large group, that was around 10 at night. He came and woke me up and said one word, "Alamo". That was our code word for having to man the defenses. I ordered The Rabbi and Cynthia to take Griz and the children downstairs, and they did without question. The other six of us grabbed weapons and went to our posts. It was time to see if our new fort would hold.

We turned on some flood lights we took from Lowe's to see out into the darkness. It was way more then we thought. Gene was the first to fire on them, he killed an man in an bloody tattered business suit. After that all the weapons opened up. My first shot put down a women that looked like a women that used to work in the cubicle next to my mom, but I put that out of my mind. Casey, Tony and I spent the past couple of evenings making things called "Jam Tin Bombs", they are more or less are a tin can filled with gunpowder and anything that can inflict injuries, like broken glass, nails, bullet casings, gravel, ect. They were favorites of the ANZACs in Turkey in the First World War.

I light one up and threw it, its fuse making a soft orange glow as it arched toward the seething crowd, looking like a firework on the Fourth of July before it exploded into light. The JTB exploded about six feet above the zombies, it took out several and managled several more, but they kept coming. I light up another and threw it. Then I emptied Sweetness and reloaded and emptied her again. I saw a bright orange streak throught the night sky and explode in flame in a group of zombies. It was a molotav fired from Tony's wrist rocket. I pulled out the LeMat and used the shotgun barrel on a ghoul and made it to the fence, blew his head clean off, then if emptied it into the group.

The guns didnt silence until about 6am. The praire around our Alamo was covered in the bodies of the dead, some still writhing and twitching. We finished those off, then we gathered them up and put them into one of the nearby abandoned houses and burned them, all 233 of them.
