Squad Zero log 1

Why am I writing this? I mean; we as a society have totally gone down the toilet. At first we worried about nuclear weapons, terrorists, economy collapsing. Things where getting better, well natural storms, don't make it better but we were getting stronger. But then as usual, the big wigs, the politicians said "Hey no more reason to be overseas, no more wars." So they did what they always do...down size. Fired soldiers for defending the country from the bad guys, like getting rid of Fireman who stop fires.

But it is all changing, bad guys are the least of our problems, now it’s the night mares, the infected, and the zombies. The un-fucking dead!

It’s funny thinking back on it, well not totally, lots of friends and people gone. Darwinism at its freaking highest I am sure.

No one knew what to expect, well almost no one. Lots of talk out these scenarios, only to make fun of others when werewolves or vampires where tried to add to the conversation (yeah like a freaking twilight harry potter teen wolf going to be scary) but you say global epidemic with undead walking and you get some great Out The Box thinking going on, and full on Not Ready for this shit attitude put in check.

Well must of us where in the same unit, yeah Weekend warriors! But that’s not the bad part. Most of us are still here, some of the non-believers, this can't be happening, jesus save me guys are gone. We can get to that later, just writing down things as I remember them. Trying to keep myself sane but that’s crazy isn't?!

How can anyone be sane, no government, no law just Manifest Destiny and over the rainbow dreams. Screw the night, day time just as bad, at least during the night the infected aren’t as mobile.

Yeah, I know Infected makes it sound like an Aids victim (ohhh we can wear Grey Ribbons!) or some who got a nasty STD (oh yeah here comes the necrophilia jokes!) but it’s true. We are all infected, that’s why suicide is non-existent.

Think about it, you don't want to die and become a Z but if you off yourself, since everyone’s infected you become a Zombie. Mother effing catch 22. Hopefully in the future or what’s left of it maybe the next generation of kids will be resistant, hopefully the strand of whatever it is, is gone.

Well, my turn to walk the perimeter, suns coming up, I suppose the infected need their cup of Joe, Joe's not going to be happy.
