Still surviving...

Things have gone from bad to worse. The few Z's I encountered the other night seem to be the start of a trend. It looks like my region was never meant to be spared from this nightmare. It took so long for the dead to find their way here, but they made it. We keep hearing about more and more zombie attacks nearby all the time. I guess its time to hunker down. At least we had plenty of warning here. My family has been stocking up on supplies and ammo, so I guess we're the lucky ones. It looks like I'm in for the long haul now. It won't be long before the hordes arrive. For now, my friends and I work as a clean-up crew to take care of the zombies that come our way in an effort to keep the local outbreak at bay as long as possible. Maybe it will buy us some time to finish fortifying the community so that we can prevent the isolation that faces so many survivors in other areas. We hope to establish this area as a safe zone. I hope we can get it done
I am starting a local network to collect information on the growing threat. Maybe if we all pull together, we can survive this. I will try to post the local chatter and any useful info that comes my way. If you are reading this, feel free to send any news my way.
