The Day After

No one knows how it happened.  How it all started.  The moment people started to notice things, it was already too late.  Thanks to our own ignorance, ignoring what was right in front of us in total denial, that is how I think it was able to spread as fast as it did.

At first the news reports said that it was a protest and people rioting against the government due to the failing economy, people out of work, losing their homes and so on.  

As more time passed on it was believed to be a bio-chemical weapon that was released in the major cities in the United States.  The media outlets pointed their fingers at renegade Muslim terrorist groups, ones that have been talked about for the past nine years ever since September 11th. 

Hours pass and the information continued to change, finally admitting that there was not terroristic attack by any group.  Then came the conspiracy theories, saying that it was a weapon that the United States created years ago back in the 60's, only to have it reach civilization by a freak accident.  Others debated that it was purposely released to the public, but no one were able to answer the reason why this happened by our own people.  

The news became flooded by more and more bullshit.  That is when I decided to search for other answers, realizing the best information is from people like myself, people that are trying to spread the truth about what is going on.  

It turned out the only people who were reliable were various networks that have been around and operated by hackers from all over the world. That is when I found out that our country was not the only place that was having these "things" attack people all over.  China turned out to be hitten the worst, mainly because of the population being extremely large.  One source said that it only took about 3 hours for their government to fall.

That is when I found it, the source of this infection, what caused it all to come to pass. 

It was said that for many years, historians as well as scientists have debated and researched about the dinosaurs that once ruled this world of ours 65 million years ago.  Yet, suddenly, without little to no explanation other than personal theories, the dinosaurs were gone.  Dead, erased from Earth, only to become stories of legends.  

It turned out that back in the 1940's the United States discovered what really killed the dinosaurs.  It wasn't an ice age nor was it a comet that nearly destroyed this world.  That it was some unknown infection, a virus that caused them to turn on one another.  The virus was thought to have been eliminated due to being isolated for millions of years.  Rather than tell the public the truth, they took it upon themselves to keep it a secret. 

Once again, they knew something and could have prevented it.

It seems that it all started months ago when BP's oil line ruptured and leaked millions of gallons of crude oil in the ocean.  Yet it wasn't just oil, something came along with it.  Miles and miles underneath the Earth's crust the virus was waiting, waiting for the right moment to escape and start over what he did years earlier with the dinosaurs.  

They tried to contain it.  They covered up what was really going on.  That is when I started to see various vidoes posted on youtube, showing people getting sick and then attacking other people in a vicious behavior that reminded me of rabid animals.  

It also turned out that the man reason why Wikileak was shutdown and cornered by the government.  It turned out that they knew about the oil spill and that there was more to the story than they wanted the world to know about.  That is why they came after them, to make them quiet, to discourage their information.  

People are saying the dead is walking freely.  That people they knew were once dead are now undead, walking around as mindless monsters hungry for human flesh.  One woman wrote a short note saying that after she finished her blog that she was going to shoot herself in the head, saying that she could not deal with the guilt that just a few moments previously, she had to kill her own 6 year old daughter who attacked her.  

There were other people with similar stories.  Talking about how frightening it was to see their loved ones change into a complete stranger.  No logic, no remorse, just pure rage and a hunger.  

So now I sit here, wondering what to do now. I believe it is safe to stay indoors.  There are too many of those "things" out there.  I can hear them moaning still.  Occasionally I can hear someone screaming for help, only to hear their screams drown in utter pain, most likely being ripped apart by those who are infected.  

I'm a prisoner of my own home now and I have never been this scared before.  How long will this take?  Are there others like myself?  Will I survive?  

All I can say to those who are planning on leaving to find shelter, to stay away from the streets.  If anything, cut through people's back yards to get to where you wish to go.  Also don't make too much noise, it seems that their sense of hearing has increased and that they have been able to follow the sounds to attack other people.  It should also be noted that to beaware of people that are survivors.  That the infected are not the only people that you need to be worried about.  That there are man out there that have had a complete mental breakdown and are attacking people without mercy.  Chicago has been said that it is now controlled by various gangs and that women are the main target.  Along of people being eaten, it is said that people are being murdered and raped by those who are not infected.  

It was once said by Yeats that, "If the center does not hold, everything will fall apart."

He was right...and I fear what the future holds for all of us.
