I remember the day it happened like it was yesterday. The day the world offically became home to zombies and humans a like. The day the world ended. It started off like every other morning. Just like anyother day, we had no warning. I got up and ready for school. I walked the two blocks to my school with my two best friends Meldoy Jones and Hope Bell. We even attended our morning classes. Everything was just fine and normal until lunch. Until Richard Banks came into the cafe.

"Um Jess I thought Richard was dead? As in not suporse to be walking down the isle to the populat table!" Meldoy asked as she pushed her long golden blond hair out of her ice blue eyes. Today she wore a baby blue mini skirt with aqua top. The outfit really made her tanned skin stand out. Beside her, her boyfriend Nathan Price just nodded. The movment sent his messy black hair into his creamy chocolate brown eyes. Nate wore a black t-shirt that made his tanned skin seem all the darker. Like always he wore a pair of faded blue jeans with holes in the knees.

"Well that what the news said, they could have gotten the wrong body. I mean they can make mistakes right?" Hope said. Without seeming to think about it Hope slid closer to me and placed her head on my shoulder, causeing her fire red hair to fall like a curtain over her forest green eyes. Like most red heads Hope had pale skin that was made to look even paler due to her white cotton dress.

"Hope sweety you`re right. They make mistakes some times." Her boyfriend Taylor Parks whispered gently as he slid closer to her. Taylor`s dark brown hair was cut short in order to keep it out of his hazel eyes. Like usual he wore a checkered shirt and faded blue jeans. Today though the shirt was green black. The black made his tanned skin darker.

"Taylor`s right, no one is perfect." I said giving her a small pat on the shoulder. Hope only nodded and lifted her head. I smiled a wide a smile at her as I ran my hand through my straight brown hair with golden steaks. So not to show Hope my fear that I was wrong I dropped my chocolate brown eyes to the table. For some reason I  felf as if I had to keep my hands busy so I ran them over my sea green dress. The green may make my eyes pop but it made my pale skin look almost as pale as Hope`s.  After the fifith time of doing this my boyfriend Josh leanded over and pinned my arms to my side with his.

"Baby stop fidgeting." He chuckled in my ear. Then as if he could read my mind he whispered. "There are no such things as zombies." I gave a sigh and met his chocolate brown eyes. He wore a white shirt with cu off jean shorts.

"Your right." I muttered not knowing just how wrong I was and how soon that would be proven. I was proven wrong only five short seconds later, when Jamie Forbes, head cheerleader, let out a blood curdling scream. All our heads snapped around to see the cause of it. The moment my eyes landed on Jamie my stomagh heaved. The reason. Richard had taken a chunk of arm and was moving to her neck. Before Jamie could let out another scream Richard ripped out her throat with his teeth.
