The Law of Fort Defiance

After man quarells within our band and with a few new memebers we have laid down a formal code of conduct for our settlement near Davis Lake, dubbed by Mr. Jackson, Fort Defiance.
They are as follows:

1) Never Travel alone*

2) Never travel at night*

3) Never go anywhere without a weapon*

4) Everyone works**

5) Children under the age of 13 are to go to school for 4 hours a day, then work
-Writing/Reading
-Math
-Marksmenship
-Wilderness Survival
-Hand-to-Hand combat

6) Food and water to be rationed

7) Its a Democracy, everyone over 15 gets a vote

8) Chores will be rotated every week

9) Dont waste ammo

10) The Fort will elect a Leader every 6 months

11) The Fort Leader's word is law in times of crisis

12) Right to trial by jury of peers

13) Theivary will be punished severely

14) Voilence towards any memeber of the Fort will lead to the purportrators immediate expulsion

15) Rape or Murder will be punished by death, without trial.

16) Laziness is a punishable offense

17) Taking more food then rationed, is a punishable offense

18) Freedom of Speech and Religion

19) All new members of the Fort are subject to search of person and belongings before ammitance

20) New members have a 4 week probabtion period, any violations in that period they are subject to expulsion from the Fort
