Blood painted the forest floor as the creature tore at the animal, the poor animals carnal screams of pain shattered through the night like glass shards on a piece of silk. Slowly it drowned in its own blood, gurgling it slunk to the ground beneath it, its pride and life stripped from it in a matter of minutes.

"ugh" muttered an older man as he scrambled through the underbrush on the forest floor. He had landed his foot in a huge pile of some kind of animal shit. The man , a scientist form a local research facility was out in the woods to investigate an animal corpse that was found by some hunters in the nearby town. The body was that of an adult bull moose, fully grown its antlers were torn off and flung in a unknown direction, this corpse puzzled him, for even a bear wouldn't dare to attack a bull moose especially now during mating season when they frenzy over the slightest disturbance....
It looked as if it had tried to fight there were flattened pieces of greenish gray flesh it looked like, in between its hooves and on its fur. Whats worse was the smell not of death but off unwashed, dirty bodies and something rotting. Slowly the man climbed up the hill to his car, in side he turned the key and drove going to the lab where he would test the samples he took...
