It took forever to reach Bleaker street but I finally made it after a few close calls with some hordes.

There was a huge horde surrounding a small cellar entry way that looked as though it was just big enough to fit a human, they were scratching and tearing at the wooden door trying their best to break it down so I took them all out as fast as I could before even one could break down the door.

As soon as I opened the heavy wooden doors, I got a 45. shoved in my face so hard that I was sure whoever was holding it had broken it, I raised my hands up hoping they could see me in the dark , dank little room.

A pretty young brunette blinded me with a flashlight as two boys closed and baricaded the doors.

She looked me over for bite marks and had me practically in my underwear to do so, she must have told the older woman holding the gun to my face that I was all clear because she withdrew her weapon and walked away, I wasn't sure yet if I had walked into the right place or if a bunch of crazies had just signed my death certificate.

" Are you the man we heard over the C.B.?" I heard a child's voice from the corner.

" My name is Richard and I followed the directions a girl gave me to this location." I said shining my flashlight on the older woman and two small children.

" Richard, We thought you'd never make it!" The pretty brunette said virtually tackling me with a hug, " I'm Dominque."

" It's nice to finally see you, girl." I said finally returning her hug.

" D, you know this guy?" The younger of the two boys asked brushing his fire red hair back from his eyes.

" Ronnie, this is that survivor I got on the C.B. a few days ago." She answered going over to the older woman.

" I'm Lucius." The older of the two boys said firmly shaking my hand.

" Mama, he's the survivor who knows where there is somewhere safer." Dominque said pleadingly with the older woman.

" Send him back to where he came from, we don't need anymore here." The woman said.

" Mama, that's no way to treat a guest." Ronnie said as the younger of the two children jumped up into his arms.

" Danny, Kylie , time from bed." Lucius said sweetly to the little ones.

" You must be tired, I'll make you up a cot." Dominque said to me.

As the night went on, I finally wore the mother down to agreeing to take the risk of leaving the cellar for my bunker, it was big enough to house twenty or thirty people since I had added on from my neighbors' bomb shelters, she said we would spend the night here and leave out after breakfast but swore if one of her children were harmed in the move she'd put one right between my eyes.
