Okay guys, First off i'd like to apologize for not being online for an entire year. I got caught up with school and sports and stuff. But I promise im back. asa make-up gift im gonna throw together a short story off the top of my head.
Cold. Its cold ! Thats all I could think as I sat in what remained of a news helicopter. We all thought Alaska was safe, "Its too cold, if they come up here they'll freeze." Well we were wrong. They move slower in the cold but they come in enourmous mobs that are impossible to penetrate. But we have a high surival rate here in the rural parts. People up here have lived off the land for decades, and most of the ZED stick to the urban areas like Anchorage.
My parka was zipped all the way up but somehow the cold still seeped through... I'm going to freeze to death out ehre if I don't do something ! I checked how many rounds were left in my .357.......Just one. The empty box of rounds in my pocket wasn't very reassuring. I slowly slide off my ski mask and run my hand through my hair. I wish I had a piece of paper to write down my last thoughts. I say a quick prayer and press the barrel to my temple. Deep breaths, Just breathe. Itt'l be quick, you wont feel a thing. Adrenaline pumps in my viens. My finger tenses on the trigger. My breath gets faster and faster. A twig cracks behind me. I spin around and fire.
A ZED drops into the snow with a neat hole in his forehead. A few more appear behind him. Now I run. I breathe in the cold Alaskan air and sprint, My boots digging into the snow. Our fight against them will be a long one, It may never end. I accept that. But I refuse to become one of them. I used to look at the world, and think about the past. But now I look at the world and think about the future, and it gives me hope.
