Minutes pass by during our search for a desprete signal of hope, a voice of life. I look down my watch reading it, seeing there was three and half hours till day break. Look down at the ground, seeing the light's around the store were still functioning. Giving us a bright view for any zombies, I walk around the building looking at the parimeter, and not seeing a zombie in sight. It worried me alittle just two people ontop of a building like sitting ducks. James listen's into the radio, yet all he got was static, and brodcast's still repeating itself. I walk to the front of the building, sitting against the wall, and setting the rifle to the side. "Hey, can I get a crack at it?" James ask. "Sure." I unload it, since we couldn't see anything that was passed the gas station, handing it to him. "It's pretty light." he looks through the scope, getting a good view of a close up on nothing. "Hey, it looks like the church are having a camp fire..wait...there throwing something in the fire..." he says with a strange tone. "There probably throwing big chunks of wood, for a helicopter to see.." I take a deep breath. *coughs* "What the fuck is that smell?!" I stand up, facing the flame of the church. "Let me see that." James hands me the rifle, quickly looking through it. "Are they cooking somthing?" he asks. I concentrate, trying to see what the large dark shadows being tossed into the fire. "Oh...god...there burning the bodies..." I hand the rifle to James, while I walk to the other end of the building throwing up a storm. "Fucking christ.." I turn back around, watching the flame grow brighter and brighter. "AHHHH!" *random screams* Jame's and I look at eachother knowing what we heard literally came from the church. *Gun shots go off* I grab the rifle from James, before even looking through the scope, we hear a loud crash of vehicles breaking through  the van's, then they come in.. It was a army of the undead.. "It's time we get out of here." James says in a panic voice. "Get down!" We do quickly. "What, wha.." I cut him off placing my finger infront of my lips. I signal him, letting him know there's a group. "We gotta time this right, or were fucked. Were going to run back home my friend." He gives me a expression like he was about to shit bricks. I quietly move to the other side where our ride was, it looked clear, and it was now or never. "Alright let's go." We climb down the ladder, but hopping off the side of it. "We gotta do this silent, so grab a bat." We start heading into the other street  were another neighborhood was at. We reach the tunnels, that just lead to the other side of th street. Thing was, it was still dark... we had thirty minutes before day break kicked in, running through the tunnel's reaching the other end. Jame's climbs up to the top, he hold's his hand out, and I grab it. A zombie come's in through the side knocking me down, I hold him up with the bat. Jame's hop's down, kicking him off to the side, givng me a chance to quickly get back on my feet, and I watch Jame's twirl his bat like a sword, swinging upward knocking the zombie flying back. We both rush out of the hole, running down the street and hitting the corner. "Come on, were almost there." Day light was about to break in. We were only a few yards away, finally reaching it, and running up to the window opening it, and quickly getting it shutting it behind us. We sit there for a good thrity minutes. "Jesus, were going to have one hell of a war.."
