This is a report from the clean sweep team of Canada
we were formed by the U.N. on July 10/2007 to perform a sector by sector clean sweep of the virus we started as 1500 strong our first target was Vancouver island B.C. we hit the beach on the far side of the island at 0600. At first we all thought this would be an easy mission, sweep all the towns on the island and pacify the walking dead. The island was chosen as a safe site for the government employees as well as the doctors and survivors we find.we got suited, booted, and strapped on the air craft carrier about 20 miles off the open sea side coast of the island. We left the for the island at 0500. we hit the beach of the island at 0600.Things seemed pretty odd right away. There were no sounds other than the sea. The commander broke us up into four squads;Alpha/Bravo/Charly and the beach team. I was part of alpha team we had to make our way to some town named Pleasantville and report back to the boat once there. So we trekked through woodlands which put us at a lax state of mind as we had not encountered any hostiles or infected yet, not even a trace of them.at about 0700 we made it to the edge of town we reported to the boat and got the order to go in and assess the threat level so we hoofed it in it was odd feeling like when you are being watched but we found what was a old church and decided to make that our home base.So we set a perimeter as well as a med station. The snipers held the high ground from the churches spire. night came quick we sent out three two man teams to use the cover of dark and that's when shit hit the fan. Those of us at the church heard shots off in the distance then the radio went nuts. I remember one of the call names was Foxtrot all teams started sending reports of infected everywhere. One report said they are coming out of the hospital and the local mall. Then a new report of the police station was as delta said a write off then slowly the shots and screams died down. We took up battle formations in and out side of the church then we were still and waiting for the dead to come. Out of the 24 solders we sent out only 4 came back they were messed right up and injured or mind fucked. One guy we tried to restrain him and medicate him. Wait, I know this guy, its Foxtrot. No wait, wait, blamm...The team leader put him down like a dog, the place roared with the sounds of troopers yelling at the team leader, then we heard the dead. It was so loud you couldn't hear the fighting in the church. You could only hear the dead's moans, then the first line of defense fell then the second then they were at the door we fought hard and well. Then they breached the door, the team leader said move to the second floor so we did. As I was backing up the stairs laying down some cover fire the team leader said you get back to the beach take these two with you. It was bad but i will never for get the face of foxtrot mangled and twisted from fear, then his eyes, those dead eyes just still, no soul left, those empty eyes. at any rate, me and the other two made it to a small house in the woods about half a click from the town...I need a smoke I'll finish this report when I'm done my smoke
